ok i know the traditional way is 18/6 or 24/0 for vegging and flowering 12/12 but i have heard if u do the 12/12 cycle from seed that by the time its a foot it will start to bud but will only grow to about 2feet but will be all bud. if anyone has any further information on this i would appreciate it...thanks for any help...
and if this is true should u only use light in the red spectrum or use blue and red, and how much wattage? thanks for any help...
Yes, look at my thread, 2 1/2 months, well 2 months 3 weeks from seed to harvest planted outdoors. http://forum.grasscity.com/showthread.php?t=110350 I do this with all seeds i start keep it under 12/12 so it shows very quickly, dont have time to waiste growing a tree for 2 months only to find out its male. As for light, the more light the better, naturally this process will take a little longer than outdoors since its inside but still will be no where as long as keeping it under 18/6 or 24/0 for weeks on end and then flowring it.
hey thanks for the replys, but what i meant about the light is since u are growin it 12/12 from the getgo does it really matter if u have light in the blue spectrum since u are just starting out flowering from the start? or is it better to use the combination of them? thanks for any help...
As I said in that thread that tree gives me wet dreams. That's from just doing 12/12 from seedling? Why do people do the 18/6 method then? I'm guessing it's only worth while if you veg for quite some time and LST a lot. That plant in the pix, it grows straight up like that no added colas or anything? <edit> Could you have topped that beast once it reached like 7 inches and then get 2xs as much bud?
