11x11 Split Room CFM question

  1. Hello I am doing a 8x8 flower and roughly 3x3 veg tent. They will be side by side but separate tents. I will be using one exhaust for both using a y adapter to duct the exhaust to both. Since I will be pulling from both I was like at a 12" 1060 cfm inline fan. Is that overkill or should I be fine with that fan?

    Thanks

  2. If it splits the flow evenly you might have to much flow from the small tent, to little from the large. It might be better to get 2 fans matched to each tent...

  3. I would install a draft damper on the small tent if you only use one fan that way you can balance the air flow

  4. Do you think a 1060 cfm is overkill for the room sizes?

  5. It's recommend to have a min air exchange of 12 times per hour or once every 5 min and giving a rough guess your looking at about 58 times an hour with a 9 foot ceiling height but that's not calculating for flow restrictions do to Venting design

  6. I guess it also depends on the lighting are you talking just for air exchange or cooling?
