hello growers i have this problem i`m gonna go for 20 this year and i was wondering about the light soo... i bought 4x400 from that GIB 400w EXTREME see it GIB Lighting - Flower Spectre XTreme Output HPS Lamps with extreme output effect and on the box is writen that is special flower spectre and "more blue light-green plant growth is enhanced" and ofcourse "more yellow&red light-flowering and fruit formation is enhanced" ..... so i bouth 4 from these and 2 x 400MH from these GIB Lighting - Growth Spectre MH Lamps for grow stage so what you think em i in the right way? or i need more bulbs the room is about 5x8 or more
please help guys your opinion means a lot for me i need to know does i need more bulbs or it`s good that way
So wait you have 6 bulbs for 1 grow? And how many hoods and Ballasts? For 20 plants in 5x8 I would probably go with 2x 400 I have a 5x7 space really the grow space is 5x5 i use 2 for myself! and I have a 600w and a 400w and I plan to do 18 plants 3 rows of 6 under that. So 2x 400W for 800W should do it. If you have 1600W of light cool plants will love it. If you have 4 reflectors and ballasts I would suggest mixing atleast 1 MH in there for flowering. Do like 2 HPS 1 MH or 3 HPS 1 MH
yeah bro i think i`ll go that way for 18/6period: 2xMH & 2xHPS and for the 12/12period i think i`ll use 4HPS but i don`t know how to place the babys so the light gets to all i have 4 very good reflectors and 4 ballasts that are combinated for hps and mh bulbs so... ?
How are the heights? You could place 10 together with 2 lamps and 10 with 2 lamps or... put all the shorter ones together and put them under the HPS (they will stretch more) and the tallest ones under the MH (less stretching) to help even out canopy.
i think 2 rolls x 10 each because i`ll put them all together i think that they will be all a same size but how the 400w MH will cover 10 and the 400 HPS will cover at the same time the same plants how i think the light won`t be sproud enought for the all 10 at the roll
Try putting two lights together end to end like this _ _ but tilt the inside up /\ so like that but less drastic, just a couple links on the chain. That should help mix the light a bit, or rotate the plants every day or something. Light is projecting out of the hood just point it where you want, be aware that pulling one side up increases the distance. What I am doing is I put my tallest plants in the center and lower the outside chain a little to get that closer to the smaller plants and focus the light towards the center. That way the light mixes I don't waste as much light and most plants are similar distance from the lamps.
aha thanks very much bro ..and about the air...i think the best will be to buy a air conditioner because here is about a minus -5 degrees celzium and i think the best way is air conditioner what you think ? will be the air from the air conditioner good for the babys ?! offcourse i`ll put some OUT going fan on the timer to throw the air out for 2mins once time at the 24h cycle what do you think ?
If Celzium = Celsius then its 23 degrees F outside... So why do you need an air conditioner? If its humid just get a dehumidifier. If you are trying to warm the air use a heater. If its 23 outside venting air out and pulling air in would be A LOT cheaper than AC and would work just fine not sure what summer is like where you are though.
yeah bro it`s Celsium but it`s very very cold and the money is not a problem i want most better that`s why i ask what the perfect way for conditioning because the AC supports exactly temp and i don`t need to cut a holes for fans and etc. only one for the AC and it`s a little hole i read a lot in forums and making my plan now i have most of the things and now i biult the plan thanks a lot for the help so what you think (forget the money) about the air control what it should be ? the other alternative is fans with controler thats much expencive here than AC and its much hard for me to instal the controller to connect with the fans and even then i need something to warm to exactly temp..so that`s why i looking for the AC but i was wonder if it need something special AC or the usual Air Conditioniers from the store may do the work
I have a 10,000 BTU AC unit and it was more of a pain that it was worth. I redid my ventilation and it is much better now. The AC exhaust runs really hot so you want to vent it out for sure... Personally, I would probably invest in nice quiet fans to move lots of air rather than condition the air you are using IF you are not using CO2. If you plan to use CO2 then get an AC unit and vent it outside somehow. If you keep an AC unit in the room without venting that out its basically an oven. I have 1x Soler and Palau TD-150 6"/150MM Inline Mixed Flow Duct Fan that is hooked up to the my 2 hoods 600w and 400W and is on the same timer as my lights. I have a temp / hum control that kicks on a 4" Soler and Palau TD-100X 4"/100MM Inline Mixed Flow Duct Fan to vent just the Flowering room My 3rd 4" is on 24/7 and is setup like this Exhaust Out -----Y--Y1(Flower Room Ceiling----Y2(Veg Room ceiling / attached to in veg) So I have the 4" always moving air and the 6" on with the lights in flowering, and the 4" for climate control in Flowering Since i did this setup I am around 72 degree F and 40% Hum. If you get an AC unit, I would not get a portable. A window style unit should do better. Portables just aren't the best... although it will work if you can vent that out. If you need to heat the place you could get a tiny heater with a temp control on it. But if money is no problem seal that room tight get AC and CO2 I would say
yeah bro i think that way but i`m ver very thankfull to you and you advises i`ll think 2-3 days to get a dessision once again many thanks only you from thousends here answer me and tell me the things how they are so if you don`t mind i`ll ask you in this theme more questions in future ( sorry for my bad engl)
