1000watt metal halide question

    can i put a 1000watt hps bulb in this without a problem. Also could i put a different watt metal halide bulb in this i dont really need 1000watt i got it off ebay for 30dollars good buy but kind of over kill

    well if it isn't a switchable or a digital ballast no you cant.

    You would need a conversion bulb

    i bought a 1000watt metal halide unit. I was wondering if i could put a 1000 watt hps in this unit without a prroblem, or if i could just reduce the wattage of the bulb to a 400watt halide bulb. I already have a 600watt hps unit another 1000 would just be cazy talk. There is no need for 1600watts in my set up

    Ok now i see.Like Bank404 said.You need a conversion blub.
