I have a 6'5 6'5 6'5 grow tent, with 1 1000w hps, my plants are about 3ft tall and they are only 5 weeks into flower, they are about 2ft from the light, will they burn? right now i keep my temp at 73 i could lower it to 70 but I dont want to slow there growth. what do you guys think?
...you shouldn't have any problem, rule of thumb is 18 - 24 inches...are you aircooled? ...put the backside of your hand at plant level....if it's hot on your hand, it's probably hot on the plants....or, just watch for burns. I've never had any yield difference with or without light burns....I try to keep the light just close enough not to burn, when or if I see burns, I simply back it up an inch at a time.... and that is as far as the light needs to be. (IMO) ...close is good...as you may know.
