Yay, The closet has finally came together! I have not grown in some time, but now it is time! My grow dimensions are 2.5x4.5x6', small, but great! This is a sealed, mylar, Co2 maintained room with a 600watt digital w/ Cooltube, running MH for Veg, and HPS for flower. The Nutrients are Advanced Nutrients complete line of organic nutes, and I threw in a superthrive in case of emergency. The Seeds are: North Star ( Northern Lights x Sensi Star) LowRyder ( For a filler seat, and a taste while I wait) The seeds have all been germinated and am waiting for some sprouts. Here are some picture of what has gone down so far! From a boring closet to heaven!
Tonight I am going to be running a test run to monitor High and Low temps, before I place sprouts into heaven. 82.3 with single fan, 78.4 with two running... I think I might need a muffler
Finally getting some growth above the soil, checking every few hours to remove the humidomes. Also just recieved my interval timer! My temps are running high again, anyone have any suggestions on how to cool down. I have limited space and it's sealed and would like to keep it that way. Was just thinking about getting a foam cooler, filling it with a couple pounds of dry ice and popping some holes in it.. would serve two purposes, cool, and Co2
Transplated all of the seedlings into larger pots today and introduced some Prianha, Tarantula, Voodoo Juice, Sensizym, and Carboload to get the beneficial bacteria going. Picture 2 and 3 of the same strain, North Star, but look at the difference so far. They are both the same age, and are going at about the same rate, but look how skinny the leafs are on pic#2. It's Crazy! I also had a problem with one seedling not throwing the seed off, and the stem emerged through the soil before the sprout. I pulled it's head out of it's ass and now it is a bit stunted. Hope she makes the recovery. Ohh, and sorry if the picture suck, I have a shitty camera right now.
Day 6: Well, It's time for an update, woot! Things should be moving quickly now, and hopefully before I know it they will be all grown up, with plans for the future, awaiting children, and planning their retirement... Into a jar under my bed. The seedling that I had to pull it's head out of it's ass is doing well now. Growth has started, but she is quite a bit behind her sisters. Some are starting their second set of leaves already and all of the plants will begin their feed regiment monday or tuesday, depending on soil conditions. In a minute I will give them a light drink, soil is getting dry like they like it. Picture #1, This is my fastest, perfect in every way so far, and lots bigger than her sisters! Picture #2, Is a side view of my baby. Picture #3, The skinny guy, really looking like a very sativa North Star.. This might be really interesting to keep as a mother, but only time will tell! Picture #4, The very broad leafed baby Picture #5, The retarded seedling who could.. I think it can, I think it can!
Well, I decided I would hold off on watering till monday, and give them their feedings then as well. Should be thirsty, and just gulp up the nutrients. I am having some problems with the semi-retarted seedling. I don't know what the heck the problem is! It actually looks like a small defiency of nitrogen at this moment. I gave him a small drink of PH'd distilled water today. If the problem does not seem to get better by monday I will see just feed her in hopes of a cure. Ohh, and the skinny plant is totally a mutant! Her leafs are growing out crazy and she just does not look right at all. When I was younger so much younger than today I never needed anybody's help in any way But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors
Day 8: Well today they got their first taste of organics at 255PPM. Everyone is looking healthy except the stunted seedling who continues to struggle behind her sisters. Here is a somewhat of a groupshot of the babies! The Mutant continues to mutate, hopefully she will grow out of this! It does not look like it has hindered her growth much yet. And here are some of the healthy ones!
Day 10: Just a small update for today to let you know everything is growing healthy and fast now! The mutant is starting to lose it's mutation and the rest are growing at a great pace!
Update for Day 14: Well, everyone is looking good on the 2nd week of growth. Well, every except the retarted seedling, who is also a mutant and still full blown retarted. My 600w MH light is 11" from the tops of the plant and no sign of burns at all... Could I move it closer? I am also getting a 550 CFM Inline Vortex fan in the next few days to improve cooldown of cool tube. All the North Star recieved nutrients at 500ppm, and the LowRyders all switched to Bloom nutrients and recieved a 600ppm dose.(this was basically the same nute scheme cept the base nutrient is switched and BIG BUD is adding an additional 100ppm. Here Is A Group Shot of the whole happy family! Here is a picture of one of the LowRyders. Already starting ALOT of sidebranching at only 2" tall! She sure has the making of a VERY bushy plant! So far the 2 LR are only 2-2.5" tall. Here is the fastest and biggest girl of them all! She is over 4" now and growth is notable every day!! And here is the Seedling who could. The top is only the size of a quarter and she looks like hell. She really has been through hell in her short life though! Hopefully she will recover yet! I was thinking about giving her a shot of SuperThrive... Might just start her little butt into gear. What do you guys think? By the way, the yellowing on the tips of the leaves have been their since they first formed, before the nutrients, before lowering the lights, before anything that could have caused it. So what do you guys think? They growing like they should be under a MH? I appreciate any questions or comments.. and fuck I am starting to feel like I am the only one watching my thread, har har! Ohh well, at least I am enjoying myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Small update for tonight! All plants seem to be doing well, even the mutant seedling is finally starting to get some normal growth! That mutant is unbelievable, it's on it 5/6 node and is less than an inch tall! They were watered with pH adjusted distilled water two days ago, and are going to be ready for a 600 PPM feeding monday.... HOOORAY!!! AND The light was lowered down to 8" from the tops. And now the bad news! The Lowryders, I am under suspicion that they are both males!! Bah waste of time!
Update: Day 28 Still growing strong and lots of side branching starting to poke it head through the foilage. Started some LST, and pruning as well. This is the 4th feeding, this time at 600ppm. Last picture looks like I am getting a defiency of sorts on one of my plants.. Mag?? Any suggestions?
I would say that does look very simular to Mag deficiency. A shot of lime and see how it goes? Or Epsom salt GL bro they look pretty good other than that.
Thanks for the second opinion Hype! Just what I needed to confirm it. Also looks by your sig you play EQ.. I played that game since it kunark release, haha.
