  1. Just because at the moment we're only getting like 10-11 hrs of sunlight so im using these to extend my lighting. Come early summer wont have a need for them at all dealing with the heat.

  2. Any of yall know bout CO2 I wanna play around with it and see if it helps?

  3. You need a completly sealed environment to be able to keep the ppms up and absolute temprature control which would be very difficult and expensive in a greenhouse.

  4. Stubbornly clinging to a minimalist approach here with a 3rd Gen clone of my anonymous Bagseed in a half barrel under twin Mars Hydro TS 600s. Much more robust than the previous effort but always room for improvement.

  5. The usable footprint if those 2 lights won't cover the entire greenhouse. You may eventually run into plants that flower anyways. Led footprints are mainly straight down. The usable light disapates quickly off to the sides.

  6. So a 15x7 is 105 square feet. Let's be generous and say you want 20 watts per square foot of supplemental lighting (which really you'd only need in places that have a lot of cloudy days) that would be 105 multiplied by 20 to get 2,100 watts.

So all you'd need is 2 - 1000 watt HPS with each one centered over a 7x7.5 square foot area. Or if you go with 600s it would be 4 of them and you can play around with how you place them

  8. It's been off and on rain and cloudy last three days but my clones are settling in good and the other girls are pushing along fine. I'm debating whether to add a few more fem seeds to get me a nice perpetual system going.
    Fem list so far
    Icecream cake clone
    Mandarin sunset clone
    Wedding cake clone
    blueberry fem seed
    Wedding cake fem seed
    4 OG bag seeds
    10 freebies lemon OGxBP

  9. Couple things - and I apologize if youre already experienced in this

The larger your container, the bigger the root zone, the more nutrients the plant can take in - without having to constantly feed the plant. If you were to mix a solid organic soil based on good compost that drained well resulting in plenty of oxygen to your roots, added some solid amendments such as kelp meal, chicken manure pellets and even a blended organic fertilizer you wouldnt need to feed the plant at all, from start to finish but instead just keep them moist with your garden hose.

Mulch mulch mulch - the surface of large oots tends to dry out and especially when your plants are drinking alot.of water in full swing - a very thick layer of mulch will help keep things evenly moist for a much longer amount of time. Plus, its healthier for the soil.
By “mulch” Im referring to partially decomposed deciduous tree leaves, old hay etc - not what the box stores call “mulch”.

Think about putting your large plants/containers on plywood with wheels - its amazing how heavy they’ll get.

I highly suggest mixing your own soil. You can construct much, much better soil than you could buy anywhere.

Last - on the 20 pound thing - over the years Ive grown sone herb but stopped setting goals a long time ago. Shit happens. Put tye work in and do the best you can do -

and be very happy with what you get. This way you can never be disappointed.

    good luck with your garden.

  10. @jerry111165 Crazy was I just checking how how much earthworm castings blood meal bone meal i had to build up a good amount soil as I grow. Yea that 20lb dream went out the window in a smoke cloud. My main concern is quality over quantity. But thx for the luck and I will be building a nice soil soon pics will be up as I grow.

  11. **** Concentrate on sourcing the very best compost you can find - the viability of your soil; the life in your soil is uber important - and I might not put the 20lb dream out the window just yet - it’s certainly attainable if you put the work in.

Ive grown the biggest plants I’ve ever grown in the ground by digging good holes and not in containers. Not sure what your situation is like or what your native soil is like but we are very sandy here - which means we drain well.

Lots and lots of good, active compost loaded with worms if possible - much more important than the amendments themselves in my opinion.

Let us jnow how you make out.

  12. Just figured I’d throw a very, very simple organic “garden hose-water only” soil recipe that would easily get you to the finish line -

40% Pro Mix or Sunshine Mix - OR - plain Sphagnum Peat with 1 cup Calcite Lime added for each cubic foot or 7.5 gallons -

40% QUALITY compost; local farm compost is usually loaded with worms which is highly desirable-

20% Aeration - Bio Char is great for this. Perlite would be a second choice.

Mix well. This is your base soil mix.

for each cubic foot of this base mix I would add 2 cups of chicken manure pellets, 2 cups of kelp meal and a cup of blended organic amendment mix. Epsoma Tomato Tone, Garden Tone or similar. There’s a whole bunch of different brands out there.

mix and moisten thoroughly. Set aside for three or four weeks to nutrient cycle and you’re ready to go.

It’s that easy. You can reuse this over and over again by slightly amending it here & there. I’ve used similar mixes in Doris a dozen times before it ended up out in the herbivore flower gardens.

Took The OG's out gonna sex these out under the sunlight since i'm getting about 11 hrs. Any males i'm keeping for breeding anyway. The reggie patch took a full day of rain low night temps but they are fighting thru this with me.Just planted 6 animal cookies fem seeds my reveg plant has plenty of new growth so i'm happy i'll be able to keep that going. Blueberry and the Wedding cake are exploding looking to cut clones from them in the next few weeks.

  18. I've got a pic lastnite with them in snow but I see genetically they all look exact. I've been giving them earthworm castings and letting nature do her thing. My greenhouse girls are bursting. I'm about to let them flower with the natural light schedule and give the cuts time to veg the full summer for some trees.
