hey gc i made my own homemade ebb and flo bucket and i was unsure on how often i need to change the water in the res some advice would be appreciatedd
Depends on the grower. Some change their rez up to once a week. Others, like myself, change it once per grow.
would the nutrients still be just as good if you don't change the water throughout the whole cycle? i was thinking to change the water and add new nutrient solution when i started seeing signs of nitrogen deficiencies .

all of the stuff that I've read (and practiced) says to change the rez at least once every 2 weeks. I would also recommend a good PPM and pH tester. I bought a cheap pH tester and it was all over the place. I spent about $60 on one and haven't had any problems. I know it's a lot, but it's better than screwing up 8 weeks of grow!
