My buddy says he has a shit load of kief and for only 10 a gram. Now the only way I could see him getting a shit load is in a keif box with some sugar leaf, i'm pretty sure he dosn't run bud in the box. Is that worth it? I think sugar leaf kief taste to plant like and is more green, at least in a previous experience. let me know what you guys think.
Unless hes growing or getting kief pucks from a farmer it doesnt seem economical. But for $10 why not try?
If you use the same micron screen size in the box for different parts of the plant (buds vs sugar leaves), you're still going to get the same type of kief, because trichromes grow on both the buds and leaves of the plant, but with the latter in lower concentrations; so it would take more leaves than buds in order to achieve the same amount of kief as a product. Kief that falls through that screen's micron size is kief that falls through that micron size, it should be the same stuff regardless and shouldn't taste more like plant because you're not actually getting more plant matter from leaves than buds, if the plant matter is too big to fall through then it's too big to fall through. On that note, I'd probably buy like 1 gram, and if it's relatively golden I'd be back for at least 7 grams.
For $10, no harm, no foul. A big mac meal will run you six bucks and change, so might as well dish out.
Like the above poster said even if was made from trim or something, the kief itself will be the same. The buds just grow the highest concentration of trichomes, but they grow all over the plant. I have a strain right now that has trichomes on the stems even.
