I'm getting ready to buy some soil and a pot to start my plants. After my seed sprouts it root, is it OK to pop it in a soil with 10-10-10 slow release fertilizer already added into it or would that be too much too soon for the little guy/girl. This is my first grow ever, and I know that 7-0-0 is good for a plant in the vegetative state, and like a 3-7-7 is good for a plant flowering. I'm not too worried about the slow release 9 month fertilizer, I'm really not worried about this grow being an all organic grow, no or probably ever. It's not like my plant is growing in a toxic waste dump
Starting soil should be 0-0-0. Peat moss/perlite/ewc is a perfect mix throughout it's life and cheaper by the cubic ft. Just add your bottled nutrients when you begin to see a def. Slow release nutrients are cannabis' worst nightmare. Time release ferts do not allow proper flushing, which will result in shitty tasting herb.
