1 pound plant

  1. Would 30 gallons of a soil consisting of (below) bring 1 pound per plant? Also how big is a 1 pound plant? Any pics?
Final mix- 500 gallons (67 cu. ft)

    1/3 peat

    1/3 perlite

    1/6 compost

    1/6 ewc

    4.25 gal. Lime

    20 gal. rock dust
4 cups per cu ft (264 cups)

    80lbs of epsoma garden tone
2 cups per cu. ft = 132 cups
    (8.25 gallons)

    66 cups of kelp meal
    (4 .25 gallons)

  2. In the ground in smart pots.

  3. Most likely. Look at mjmammas grow. She used organics and smart pots.

  4. My grow isn't shit compared to a few of the fellows on the 2012 growers challenge thread. But yeah, you can certainly pull a pound per plant with that set up, but you will need to give them lots of space and lots of sun, top a few times etc.

My pounder plants were different heights and widths but they need to be big. Plant them at least 10-15 ft apart at the base to leave room for them to bush out.

One of my plants was 10 ft wide and 7 ft tall. That plant yielded 2 lbs. Another plant I had was 10 ft tall and 7 ft wide. I still haven't done the final weigh in on that one yet but I know it broke the lb mark too. So both of those plants were about 70 cubic feet, just one was tall and one was wide. I prefer growing the wide plants myself. The tall plant was hard to are for and had less nice tops and more popcorn buds.

Anyway, my smallest plant that yielded a pound was about 6 ft tall and 5-6 ft wide. It was smaller but I let it grow longer so the buds put on more weight.

The only thing I can think of off hand that I would add to your soil mix is some alfalfa. It's supposed to be like an organic super thrive. Great for root growth and a good source of nutrients.

  5. My largest pull from the smaller smarties I had was the pound and 10 ounces from my unknown strain think it was blue cheese or very similar in a twenty gallon pot with fully amended soil.

  6. Ive gotten a pound indoors in a 7gal smart pot...

6 foot tall plant - super-topped and super-cropped to perfection is key

  7. the most important is the sun hours you get

Some of these were in the ground native soil with on bag FFOF and perlite. Native soil does the rest.

Here is some this year. They were not full one pounds this year though. 1/2 plus average. I started late though like on June 29th from clones & teens. 27g pots with FFOF soil and 30% perlite. FF treo of ferts. PH'd fert water to 7.0. Thats my basic grow. I did prune the bottom out this year though. Size wise it was perfect for me. Those vids above with 60 feet of plants was way to much work. Next year I am growing only 6 plants. Or maybe 6 plants and 6 Autos.
