1 of my qb’s stopped working

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Lilmikey94, Jan 12, 2023.

  1. So I was getting my tent set up and the lights were on. I noticed it wasn’t as bright as before and I noticed one of the QBs on one of my HLG260w Rspec was out. Using the dimmer the other side still goes up and down. I’m running 2 260s and the other light was fine. Any idea what this could be?

Was this a kit you built? If it's just one board on a light unplug it and check the wiring between the two boards. These are the connections you want to check. Marked in black. If necessary you may need to push down the small button marked in red to release the wire and reposition it.

  3. Yes it’s the HLG 260w XL Rspec kit. I grabbed two of them and they were fine. Just all of a sudden i noticed one of the QBs was out. I’m hoping I’ll be able to fix it myself. Im going to try this out. Much appreciated

  4. I hope it's a simple fix. More than likely, it just needs to be inserted a little further to lock into that connector.

  5. The only way to fix those boards now is to solder the wire to the silver part of the connector that they broke. You need to make those connections or your board will not light the second one.

  6. If necessary you may need to push down the small button marked in red to release the wire and reposition it. Maybe I should have been more clear. The tiny depression is where you place a pen tip. You push the pen tip down just enough to release the wire. See the little red area I have outlined in the photo. 20230111_221603.jpg

  7. My cousin broke the red pieces off. I’m probably going to have to solder it like the other guy said
