I've been watching Al Jazeera because they've been covering the Egyptian protests all day. The protesters want at least 1 million people to march to the presidential palace tommorow at nine a.m. I don't know if this is really going to happen but if it does, I'm sure it means the end of Mubarak. I don't think they can stop 1 million people unless they carpet bomb the place, which would be retarded. I think they're going to storm the palace. 1 million people could easily do that I think. Dude probably won't be home though. PS: Why are there so few threads on Egypt's revolution? This is major world news! Is this not interesting to you guys?
I think those were Copts.. not sure, but I think today's egyptians are mostly Arabs. But OP, a million man march, holy shit!! I will def. be keeping my eye on the Times...
I've been trying to pay attention to this, and yes it is very interesting. I'll be checking back to this thread frequently for some insightfull news and viewpoints.
I hope to have a chance to watch Al Jazeera tomorrow before I leave in the morning. I'm in almost the same timezone as Egypt so that works. I think Mubarak is going to fall tomorrow.
I don't know man I think guido's with make up partying and revolution on a massive scale are pretty equally matched.
Found this. So as long as the military isn't going to do jack shit about it, sounds like they'll have it made. Though I don't understand what they're going to do once they reach the palace Destroy it? EDIT: Found this too - not the actual march, but its from 3 days ago. Shit's intense. People are totally owning the police though haha. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xWiBCIxjIk"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xWiBCIxjIk[/ame]
So I just got home and immediatly put my tv on Al Jazeera. Apperantly he's still not stepping down. I can't believe how thick a skull this man has. Does anyone know if a million people really showed up at his palace?
