Hello my plants are about a month old I had them in 32oz cups, yesterday I transplanted and I could see the roots everywhere dident look root locked. Anyways I transplanted into some 1 gallon jugs that I cut the top off of. My question is how long can I grow in gallon jugs can I early sex them like this? Thanks for any advise.
You'll need to get them into at least 3 gallon or 5 gallon pots......i use 3 gallon pots....i'd transplant as soon as possible....what height are they?....the roots will need more room....and yes you can determine sex after the transplant by using the black bag technique over a part of the branch....but the 1 gallon pots will not be big enough.....Peace out...Sid
Well they are between 3-7" the smaller ones are going on there 4th node (a week behind) while the biggest 2 are going on there 6 and 7th node my plants have close nodes. So I guess my question of growing in a 1 gallon jug until first sign of sex is a no..... What is the smallest possibe size container I could use until I see sex then I will transplant into bigger pots. The reason is because my space is limited (too many plants in small area) Thx for reply, I just planted in gallon jugs yesterday so I will wait a little while before I transplant again. Again if anyone has input please fell free to reply. I could use any advise on this mater.
What size of grow room do you have??....it's best to keep to approx 3 gallon pots to reserve space if that's what your looking for....Peace out...Sid
