depends. you might be able to with an autoflower strain if you only gave it 12/12 after it started to flower. maybe even with some clones taken in flower or preflower and put straight into 12/12. I have a clone that's been under 12/12 since I've had it and it's doubled in size and hasn't even started preflowering yet. Just had to transplant it to the 3g. Just depends how big you plan on letting it get. edit: i wouldn't start in a 1g pot though
for quick auto strains...and some folk use em for sog...lotta small plants ....you might end up foilier?? feeding...spary leaves with nutes if plant becomes rootbound...watering way more oftentry one in it
This one grew in a 1 gallon bleach jug that I cut to top off. Blueberry Ice Cross - Marijuana Pictures, Photos & Videos - Grasscity.com Media Gallery
you can but i dont recommend it. The plants get rootbound in about a month and a half and then the real problems start. I say this from experience. In a 1 gallon pot (not using an auto) you will be lucky to pull off a quarter oz, if you dont kill the plant first. If you are worried about spending the cash on pots, buy some 3 gallon grow bags. They will get you from start to finish and cost less than a buck each.
I have my one surviver in a 3 gal. pot in the back yard and it seems to be doing well. I'm a first timer, pistals are just showing, but it's getting TALL! Does any one know how I can keep it from towering over the fence?
I had that problem myself on my first grow (in a 5 gal. bucket). I had to dig a hole and set the container in it to keep it below my privacy fence. I didn't know about LST in those days.
Yes, I go micro grow and max pot size is 1 gallon for my autos. I even once used half a gallon. Obviously you don't get the highest yield but it works
