I've been on the hunt lately for some "big game" marbles and my efforts have finally paid off. Part of Kaj Beck's discontinued "sunset" series, this beast of an orb sits at 2.89 inches and depicts two elephants frolicking beside a serene acacia tree, eclipsed by a gorgeous, African sunset. This ridiculously stacked double layer vapor tube made by local artist, Taylor Sims, strongly appeals to the needs of the modern smoker. Simply put, Taylor's work functions as good as it looks. Everywhere you glance on this piece there is crazy work coming out of every angle. The vibrant green and aqua wigwags are expertly sleeved over some popping, dichroic tubing, which really sets this piece off. There are three attachments on the main can, two sculptural horns with encased raw gilson opals on the sides and a killer double layered spiral disc on the back. The fully worked joint is 14mm and is attached to the fixed 4-hole downstem, which absolutely shreds. The piece comes with a matching fully worked dome that has a horn and two dichroic mibs attached. The double layering throughout the entirety of the piece gives the glass additional thickness, making it very heavy and sturdy.

Been a minute since the last #reeflife appreciation post. Sharing one of my favorite Hanshaw reefs from the collection. This one measures in at 2.25 inches and contains for floating opals over the reef and a 15mm opal coin.

Introducing two floral masterpieces imported from one of Japan's top glass artists, Tomomi Handa. Working with glass for over ten years, her style is delicate and whimsical requiring an incredibly steady hand to complete the highly intricate stringer work. Her designs become even more technically astounding on those where she achieves symmetrical patterning, such as with these two. Don't miss your shot at owning one of the finest pieces of wearable glass art jewelry on the market!
