Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by pedrovski, May 21, 2013.

  1. Hi newbie on first pc grow and plant seems to have been fine until now and im now around 2 weeks  before harvest and these brown spots have appeared in last day or so what would cause this, ph is around 6 and giving plant plant food with 5-5-5 nutrients ambient temps around 27 degrees c.
does this look like nutrient deficiency light burn? the plant is probably 3-4 inches away from led panel. hopefully someone can help
    thanks

  2. You got some serious crap going on the buddy. My LED has to be a minimum of 24 inches from the plants.

We need all the info on your grow including:

What type of medium; soil or hydro?
What brand and type of soil?
    Indoors or outdoors?
    What strain?
    How old are the plants?
What type of <a class="" href="" title="Shopping link provided by SkimWords">lights</a> and how many watts?
    How far from the lights?
What is your watering frequency and source of water?
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK?
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro?
What are the temps and humidity in the room?
    What size pots?
    Any bugs? Look real close.
    Any other pertinent info?

If any of these questions have already been answered please disregard as I cut and paste this for everyone.

If there is leaf discoloration please TAKE PICTURES WITH ALL GROW LIGHTS OFF, ESPECIALLY HPS & LED's. Taking pictures and taking them with lights off, allows us to see what the leaf discoloration looks like.

  3. What type of medium; compost
What brand and type of soil: potting compost from local supermarket
    Indoors pc case
    What strain bubble gum auto
How old are the plants 50 days out of 60-70
What type of lights and how many watts: custom led light panel and about 90w
How far from the lights 3-4 inches
What is your watering frequency and source of water: tap water once a day due to too much airflow drying soil out
What, how much and when was it fed: a few drops on the water every couple of days
What are the temps and humidity in the room? 26-27 degrees c & 30-40% humidity
What size pots: biggest could fit in pc case
    definitively no bugs

A bit of that is normal nitrogen use during flower. the brown spots COULD be a calcium deficiency or possibly a boron or manganese deficiency... However, as close as you are to harvest, i would go water only. You need to allow the plant time to flush out those chemicals in the plant "food". otherwise you will just be smoking (and tasting) those very chemicals.

  5. compost says it has plant food for 3 months but im assuming thats just for normal plants and wouldnt really be the same with this and thats what was thinkin as i had stopped giving it plant food a couple of days ago for the reason of flushing out the chemicals and noticed the spots today so wasnt sure if was coincidence or not

  6. Contrary to popular opinion, cannabis is a plant same as any other. Some have different needs. Orchids for example are rather picky.

The rules of horticulture still apply.

    You'll be fine.
