IMO, you are overthinking your problem. in the very begining, you said that you have a lizard heat lamp in there!?!?!? heat lamps do NOT grow...
also, while you are at the store buying those materials, grab some tinfoil duct tape, or whatever you have on the other walls. you should cover...
im pretty sure u could fit more. i would do this: buy 2 more Y-sockets, 2 more cords, and four more CFL bulbs. instead of having them sideways...
your going to have to find a way to fit 4 more of those bulbs in there. you need 100w for one plant, and an additional 50 for each extra plant....

one floro tube is NOT going to be enough light. if i were u, i would go to walmart and buy 200 watts worth of CFL's i went with five 42w bulbs....

the first day of the grow temp was at 102 it fluxed during the day gradually so i dont think a sudden change even occured
