This guy is beast. Some of the best music to blaze too. His beats are insane.IF you have not heard of him check him out. Quasimoto is another name he raps under with a different voice. hes done collabs with J dilla(Jaylib) and mf doom(Madvillain)

  2. I see you're from Cali, Madlib reps Oxnard (Lost Gates). His shit is on another level, one of the best producers around right now. Jazz samples you didn't even know existed, plus dope rhymes. My favorite projects of his are Jaylib's champion sound, Madvillain's madvillainy, and Quasimoto's The Unseen. Also enjoy the countless instrumentals released under his name, Beat Konducta series, Angles without edges, shades of blue. I'll stop since I could go on and on about this guy.

Madlib is the man, I can't believe I haven't found this thread yet.

My ears could survive on a healthy appetite of himself and Dilla.

Stones Throw in general ftw. :hello:

Edit: For those who didn't know, Madlib's beats off "The Beat Konducta In India" (Vol. 3) were used in the production of Mos Def's new album "The Ecstatic." This album is widely recognized as one of the best hip-hop albums of 2009, and was nominated for a Grammy in the aforementioned category.

  17. I still need to cop those Beat Konducta joints. This album is ill, whoever doesn't have it needs it!
