Yet Another CFL Fixture

    Is that safe...as far as electricity goes?

    (6) 26w = 156w @ 1,600Lu = 9,600Lu total


    Runs about 1.4 Amps - all fixtures are rated at 3 Amp.


    I have run it for days in a 4.8 Ft3 grow box and it heats the box 7 deg F with a 32 CFM fan running on the top of the box.


    Safe is, of course, a relative term...

    I mounted this in an 18 gal tub for a growbox top.
    The lights are mounded on a reflector covered bit of scrap plastic and the whole thingie is suspended in the top box with (4) strings. Could be better, but is working .. soooooo ...
