Pot Noodle Challenge Thread

    I got this idea from another site but I would love to see it happen here too.

    THE CHALLENGE

    Get the best possible yield using only a Pot Noodle cup as a container.

    RULES

    ONE cup per plant - no cups within cups or cups stacked together.
    Any instant noodle/soup cup is allowed but prefer Pot Noodles if possible. Roughly pint sized.
    Any medium is allowed.
    Seeds or clones allowed.
    Any lights allowed.
    Pot must contain the roots... No pot noodle net pots in 5 gal res!!!


    Think mini DWC, coco hempy or just plain old soil... The choice is yours but I want to see pics and reports. I dont know what the winner will get yet other than glory but I will try to sort something out.

    I think I might try my hand at this, been thinking of running a micro PC grow anyways. I don't have any instant noodles, would it be ok to sub the noodle container with a solo party cup?

    I am thinking DWC with organic nutes. possible run with an AK-47 Clone

    Noodle pots are at least twice the size of party cups I think. How will you manage dwc in a pot that size? Give it a go if you like or get a noodle pot from the store. There's no rush with this.

    can i just make a net pot out of the pot noodle pot and just use it in 5 gallon dwc bucket?

    are pot noodle cups the same size all over the world?

    Most of the noodle cups I have seen were all that size but I will see what I can find lol.

    Also as I have said before all you really need for a DWC system is a container, water, airstone, and air pump.

    Now obviously the bigger the system the more oxygen that you can get to your roots and there for you will have a better experience with the bigger results but this will work. I am following a journal right now where they are using a micro DWC system in a PC grow box. The strategy he is doing is restricting growth during veg by trimming the roots every couple of days. This has made his grow really small but really bushing out. Then a couple weeks into veg he is going to let the roots go wild and allow plenty of room for buds. He has done a great job at training his plants.

    Anyhow I am babbling.

    what about using the pot noodle filled with clay balls and having a separate reservoir to hold the nutrient solution connected with pipes in a flood and drain set up?

    Yeah that will work. As long as the pot is holding the roots its ok. No making your own net pots but flood and drain + dwc is great. Id be really impressed if someone came up with a pot noodle nft!!!! By the way... Make sure you eat the noodles first... They make a terrible medium lol

    Are we talking noodle bowls or instant Mac kinda size cuz they have some crazy size noodle bowls here Ahaha

    So like a 1/2 gal noodle pot would be illegal for his challenge? Ahaha
