Berry Ryder, Auto#1, Auto sweet tooth - grow journal

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by Chronicgrowbox, Oct 18, 2012.

  1. Hi I just wanted to start up a grow journal.

First of all, I'm growing in a 3x3x4 basement cabinet I built deep in my closet in a storage crawl space kind of area.

I used promix microhazae, 1 t5 light and a 42 watt CFL, Berry Ryder Automatic, Auto #1, and Auto sweet tooth. I bought nutrients such as Iguana juice grow for veg, bud ignitor for flower, and nutriplus start.

I started germinating the seeds on Friday Oct 5, and they sprouted within 24hrs. I put the sprouts into Jiffy pellets on Sunday Oct 7, and stuck them into the cabinet underneath the t5 light. On the 11th I put the pellets into a small pot with the promix soil, gave it a good watering and stuck them under the light still on the 24hr time cycle. I had the lights pretty close to the canopy because there's no heat at all. I went away for the weekend, and had a friend water the girls on the 13th. I came home and they exploded with 2 more leaves. That was week one. It's now a week and a half and I'm seeing some good growth. The sweet tooth is lagging behind though. I wonder if it's a true auto or not. I've read people are having the same problem. We'll see.
    Picture time.

  3. Looks good my friend! Just be sure and use your nutes sparingly. Autos can be really finicky when it comes to nutes. I'm growing Auto Super Hash, auto Northern Lights, and Skunk Auto Mass right now in my current grow. I LST some autos too!

  4. Thanks GD. I think I gave my auto#1 nute burn. She was so healthy too. Oh we'll. I'm not going to feed my plants any more nutes until 3rd week

  5. I went out today to pick up another t5 light and linked it up with the one in the cab. dual power! The girls will thrive now!

  6. get a lil digital 250wt,halide,hps,blow the ts away, just need to cool a lil. good luck

  7. I have a 400 w hps. Waiting for the flower stage to use it. I've been debating on if I should use it before flowering or not. I heard I should only use it when I see gender?

  8. oh ok, i was under the impression u were using an auto strain, witch has no veg time, and r auto fem,as soon as it sprouts,400 4ft away make it stretch,in a nice container just be carefull, you want autos, blasting, theres no veg time,t5s r awsome for vegging,ok for budding, wispy, good luck

  9. All 3 strains I'm growing are autoflowers. What I've been told and read on forums and such, the sensus from what I got was to veg until the sex of the plant is known no? They are fem autos so I'm confused. Should I use the 400w hps when the plant is almost 2 weeks old?

  10. Alright. Did some work on the grow box, I took out the tin foil and put in some reflective wrapping. Looks really nice now! No crinkle sound either when the fans are going.

After I got the reflective wrap up, I turned on the 400W HPS. I was affraid of hot spots, so I had to switch it up. So I'm doing the hps 24hrs right now with the t5 lights for more of a full spectrum.

Here are a few pictures. Enjoy.

btw, If you see that I'm doing something wrong or see something that can be improved, please tell me. I appreciate the feedback.

  11. i did not mean to get u in the wrong direction, ive never even grown an auto,i hav a shit load,of freebies, over the yrs before reg fems came out and they, would giv us these free seeds, was to skeptical, & a few that i did try out of like 5,4 got nanners, and pollinated my true fem keeperes, was pissed, now i trust the fems r alot more stable,so i use them, but when autos startaed coming out, because of ruderallis, witch make it get its auto gene, produces 0 bud,i assumed it would lack potency, anyhow i do hav a handful of autos, just been afraid,to mess with stuff thats not broken, when i started if u did not hav a veg rm it took,90 to 120 days to get bud, today i use a method called perpetual harvest, hav veg rm, flower rm,every 2 wks two plant finish,2 replace from veg rm,trim bottems, & get atleast 3-6 clones, the bottoms r for air flow, popcorn buds they would be anyway, then on & on,ive been using the same 3 strains for yrs, cloning just starts to get a lil longer,i keep saying next summer ill try them outside, were ruderallis belongs, just kidden, theyhav com a long way, just be carfull with the 400,i dont want to be the one who stared u wrong,i believe ur doing great, ther just made it a little confusing, especialy, for peeps who swear by,reg seed culling males, finding keepers,u cant do that with autos, good luck buddy:cool:

  12. No worries bro. I kept my T5s in the growbox and the plants are under the hps as well. so they are getting the full spectrum of light. don't know what will happen but they seem to be growing more and more every day, so It must be doing something ;) I ordered some seeds so when they come in I'm going to just toss em in the box whenever, since they don't care what light schedule I'm using. But looking good so far. I havent had to water them since the transplant. I'll be watering them in the next couple of days.

  13. Subbed. Looking like they are off at a good pace. I have some berry ryders and diesel ryders for the future so I'm interested to see how these come along! I'm only 250w HPS but w CFL supplemental light

  14. I started off with 1 t5 lights. 30$ at a hydro store and all 3 plants loved them. They really took off once the 400hps was added. I'n my experience, I would do the cfl for the first week then add the hps. My worry was temperature. Berry Ryder was a beast though. it took off first, then slowed down a bit. I think Berry Ryder is hungry for nutrients and water. Auto#1 doesnt like too many nutrients. nitrogen and water pretty much. low doses i might add. 1/4 of recommended.

I just received Ultra Lemon Haze auto, Pineapple express auto, and northern lights x big bud auto. Really excited for those. Especially the lemon haze.

Here's the latest, yesterday. Day 19..

Took some pictures of my new shipment and me in action making some weed butter.

  15. Awesome. I just finished a very small harvest and next week I should be ready to hang my current plant. Thatll be my third if it's successful and confidence should be up enough to sow one of my attitude seeds finally!! And most likely I'll throw caution to the wind and plant the berry ryder first and prolly plant each seed 2 or 3 weeks after the first seed so I can try to correct my mistakes as I go.

  16. Go for the Berry bro! It's a true Ryder. I went away for the weekend and my girls grew their first pubes. More budding sites. take a look see

  17. Hell yea! Such fat leaves.

  18. The one with the really fat leaves is Sweet Tooth. Some people were having trouble with their sweet tooth auto seeds. some weren't autoflowering for them, but Mine looks to be going. I was kinda worried.

    More pics.
