well after alot of research and patience, I am ready to start my first real legit grow. Strains *1x LA Woman *2x Cataract Kush *6x Bag seed from the afghan kush at the local dispensary *2x Pineapple Express clones from the compassion club Grow Closet - In the basement of my house *4x3x8 *Lined in mylar *Will be using fans till I can afford an exhaust system or inline fan etc Equipment *400w electronic switchable ballast *Air Cooled reflector *400w MH bulb for vegging *400w HPS bulb for flowering (This stuff wont be in at the shop till Wednesday of next week.) I currently have them under a 64w florescent shop light Pro Mix - (with dolomite lime in the house just incase) Will be using 3 or 5 gallon pots, have to see if any of the bag seeds die or arnt worth keeping and that will determine how much room i have to work with,. Earth Juice Grow and Bloom for their respective cycles Strictly Distilled water So... all the seedlings are a week old, a few still have the seed cap on.. i received the clones yesterday have watered the clones with a touch of EJ grow just to ease them into things.. I had to transfer the seedlings into new cupos and bury the stems more as they were stretching alot.. everything looks ok so far? I look forward to having followers and advice or suggestions.. thanks vesty
I moved the girls closer to the light bad the are looking great today. The stem on the la woman is purple. This excites me. Lol

Almost 2 weeks the babes look awesome, I have started giving them earth juice grow in very small dose. They have grew slot and the 3rd set if leaves have arrived Exciting times. Il add pics soon

Nobody? Lol. I'm installing my new lighting system tomorrow morning which is a 400w MH/HPS Il update with pics after The girls are getting big real fast. The PE clones have got better after adjusting and 2 feedings
The girls are looking good! It's crazy how short and dense the clones are staying! The new light will make them stretch a bit more.
I know it's good tho because I want them to be in the same cycle as the others. I was worried about it. But I think they will be fine. New light will be sick!!
Got the light today! Lucky me they came early. I have the 400 MH hanging 2 feet above the gals. Is this good? Or can it be closer?
My 400 mh WITHOUT cooltube is 12 inchs from the plant. i would get that light atleast 10 inchs away maybe closer if you can. 2 feet can cause streching with such a small watt HID.
I usually use my hand as a reference. If its too hot for the back of my hand its too hot for the plants. Having a cool tube, and that fan pointed at the light/plants right there should allow you to get that light nice and close. Looking nice though, having short squat plants never seems to be the problem.. Its when they decide they want to grow larger than your room that problems arise
