6,000w-AN 2 part-Smart Pots-Sunshine Mix#4

  1. This will be my first posting on this site - my main goal of publicly tracking my grow is to receive guidance along the way in the form of scrutiny or advice.

My girls are approximately 6 weeks old since being cut, they spent 1 week under t5, and the past 24 days under 4x 1,000w hortilux and sunsystem mh lamps (as an experiment to see which vegged better) with XXXL magnum reflectors.

The ladies: 8x Sour Grapefruit, 13x Lemon Skunk, 1 Super Silver Haze, 3x Rogers Purple, 2x Strawberry Cough, 4x Bobblegum, 4x Bubbalicious, 1 Jack Herer, 4x Cheese, 2x Bluberry

I am growing in all 5gal smart pots, I am using all Sunshine mix #4 soil, I am using Advanced nutrients Expert level with superthrive and nitrozyme - mixed in RO water.

I have been tying down and FIMing about 90% of the plants to bush them out - I plan on flowering in a week since I am limited on height (7ft ceilings). I gave plants only water last feeding and will be switching to bloom nutrients from here on out.

  2. By the way my daytime temps are 77-84, nighttime doesnt go below 62. I keep ph between 6.5-7.0, as for ppm, i mix the advanced nutrients at 1/4 str, when I tried 1/2 str I got severe nute burn. I foliar spray with nitrozyme once a week, I use superthrive once a week in feedings, I also add nitrozyme to feedings once a month.

So my next decision to be made will be during transition (now). I will commit to starting bloom nutes in a few hours - about a week before I flip to 12/12. I am currently at 18/6. I would like opinions/advice on the transition of the light cycle:
    Option A: steps (16/8, 14/10, 12/12, or 17/17, 16/8, 15/9, 14/10, 13/11, 12/12)
Option B: 24 hour dark period then 12/12 (12 hours on will begin same time veg did)
Option C: Straight to 12/12 (6 hours into 18/6 cycle, reduce timer by 6 hours)

I have read stepping can just prolong total grow, but does it reduce stress? Will it increase yield?

The 24 hours dark period will jump start flowering phase, but will it cause stress?

Option C is what I have always done prior to this grow and it has worked out fine - just looking for other alternatives.

  3. Can anyone comment on how much you think I might benefit from using co2 enrichment, either propane burner or tanked air, maybe propane since my room is rather large - 20x11x7. I have enough cfm to change air in room once every 3 minutes, but what if I just added co2 and did not exhaust at all while lights are on.... My a/c should have no problem maintaining temps.... Thoughts?
