OG, Sour Kush, Pineapple Express, NL x Jack Herer, and Pakistan Ryder 1000w Closet

Been a couple years since I've had a grow journal on GC....its good to be back!

All my previous grows have been lacking in either space, light (because of space), or genetics. Well i'm proud to say I have eliminated all my limiting factors and should be able to get down to business now

Right now I'm about a month in from seed. Just yesterday transplanted my 4 regular strains into 5g pots from 1g's and took 2 clones from the Sour Kush.

Transplanted the auto's into 3g pots right from rock wool cubes. The Pakistan Ryder did awesome (and so did everything else) but the nl x st cube might have dried out, anyway its a major runt and I'll probably chop it, but for now I have the space and I want to see if it'll catch up.

About a week and a half ago I topped or FIM topped all the regular plants and am planning to further LST to create a SROG.

I'll post a weekly update with pictures and some shots of the setup. But I lost my camera battery charger so I'll post a bunch when I get a new one. For now heres a teaser

 

Day 5

things are movin right along. I flipped the lights to 12/12 on 2/1. Still lookin veggy but hopefully start to bud in another 2 weeks.

The Parkistan Ryder is doing awesome! loads of bud sites and is a sizable plant. A bit bigger than I would have thought for an auto, but thats based on no prior experience. I'm guessing its getting close to week 4 of flowering. I am curious to see how it does under 12/12 instead of 18/6. Any words of wisdom?

OG, nl x jack, and pineapple express are all doing amazing. The OG is smaller and took longer to recover from being topped, but still looking good. The NJ (what im going to refer to the nl x Jack Herer as) is spreading out nicely but nothing compare to the PE. Pineapple Express is the most perfect growing plant, big leaves, symetrical growth, bushy, and growing faster all the rest.

The Sour Kush responded very oddly to being FIMed and couldn't really decide what to do except keep growing up. I finally trimmed off the weird growth tip it started and seems to be bushing out finally. The 2 clones look fine but have yet to root. any day I suspect

lastly Northern Lights x Sweet Tooth Auto got downgraded to a 1g pot so I got see what was going on with it. My original suspicion of the rock wool cube drying out seems to be true. There was little root growth and I was able to remove most of the cube because it was barely penetrated with roots. It seems to be recovering now, but I'll be surprised if I can get more than a blunt out of it.

Day 17

a beautiful day in my garden. everything is budding up nicely, especially the pineapple express. It may only be a few days past 2 weeks but it looks like its already 3 weeks in.

the pakistan ryder is finally putting on some weight and producing its first trichomes. I can't wait to smoke this thing.

decided to take some decent pictures while I had them out for watering. Still havent gotten the hang of this camera, so this about as good as it gets for the moment.

These are my 2 favorites so far. The SK is very dark green with just beautiful colors and delicate leaves. The PE is so far ahead of the others, the buds are tight, hairs popping out light crazy, and even a few trichomes.

lastly we have NJ and auto nl x sweet tooth (forgot about this one didn't you)

NJ has got to be the biggest plant (in competition with the PE) but damn its wild! just growing like crazy. It has some odd droopy leaves, but it seems fine.

the charlie brown plant is hanging in there. really took off after I transplanted it. not gonna get anything out of it but i want to try it anyway.

added more soil to the pots because they were drying out really fast and the soil had settled quite a bit.

I'd really like to hear what you think. especially if anyone has grown any of these strains before. suggestions?

 

So attitude seeds is having a crazy promotion that ism thinking about getting in on. I'm thinking about getting HSO's blue dream, bc bud depot's Girl Scout cookies, reserva privada skywalker kush, green house's super lemon haze. Any favorites? Has anyone gotten any seeds from BC Bud Depot? Are they legit?

 

Day 28

Just finished up week 4 here in my garden and I think everything is looking pretty good. Fed on monday and watered today. I'm thinking this Pakistan Ryder is only a few weeks away from harvest. Its really pumping out some bud now, still seems kinda loose but I hope it fills out a bit more. It's not as frosty as the PE but I'm hoping it'll really get covered with trichomes.

Day 28

i say day 28 and that is 28 days since the 12/12 flip for my non-autoflowering plants.

Just watered today after a big feed on monday. Really pleased with everything, especially the pineapple express. PE is pumping out perfect tight buds that are covered in trichomes (as well as the leaves) truly looks to be a week ahead of everything else.

the OG has this weird leaf claw going on. my suspicion is that its from cold air at night as it sits infront of the intake and I had the exhaust fan coming on a few times through the night to bring in fresh air. Its been cold here this last week (especially in the room the closet is part of) and I think the temperature fluctuation caused the leaves to curl. seeing as none of the other plants are showing this and it only happened this last week and new growth looks normal this is my best guess. what do you think?

I went through all the girls today and trimmed out all the little bottom buds and branches. at some point the sour kush grew a couple male flowers on one branch, they were only on the one branch and i didnt see any signs of more, oh well. I pinched off the males and put her back in the closet, but i'll keep an eye on her

i'm drying a few of the buds from PR. I've always wet trimmed before but i've heard some good things about dry trimming so i'm giving it a shot on half of what I cut (not much). heres a shot of the wet trimmed stuff. even starting to pick up some purple at the ends of the leaves (pic3)

 

thats a bummer i havent grown many strains and this is quickly becoming my favorite. I have 4 more PE seeds and after my next grow i'm thinking about doing all 4 at once

this PR isnt the most exciting plant but its starting to look pretty good. ran 2 gallons of just water through her today to start flushing. its lookin like another 2 weeks give or take. it seems to be slowing down and its got about 35% orange hairs. roughly day 45 of flowering
