Hello GC This will be my first time growing indoors, figured i learned most of everything i researched here with you guys so why not share my first time in hopes others can learn what not to do lol. Kidding... hopefully. -2x4x5-5.6' (slanted roof) not 100% complete but works. Ventilation was getting changed weekly do to high heat. Trying to work out the kinks. -400w mh/hps 6" Cooltube hood -160 cfm 4" exhaust fan -DIY 5g bucket DWC -Advanced Nutrients PH perfect GMB -Berry bomb seed (regular) running only 1 plant as i am putting my research to the test. I bought 2 feminized LSD, 1 regular Berry Bomb which gave me 2 free feminized OG Kush from single seed center. I decided to go with berry bomb first cause A: its the one i care least about so if i screw up ill live and B: part of me is hoping for a male so i can harvest the pollen and use it on a few small buds of my LSD strain. Friday night after work i threw my seed into cup of water that had sat out all day. Covered it with tinfoil and put away for rhe night. Saturday night i put my newly cracked seed into a damp paper towel and put away for the night. Sunday night i placed my seed with 1/2" tap root into a peat pellet and into the humidity dome and put away for the night. Sorry for lack of pictures i wanted to make sure it survived to this stage before starting this journal. Monday afternoon i placed my 1" sprouted seedling into my DIY DWC with 90% coco 10% marbles in the bottom of the net pot. Hopefully that uploaded Running straight water and my MH bulb is as far away as i can and will lower daily. Tuesday morning before i left for work. Current set up Will update later. Question: i know your supposed to run low dose nutes when using coco but using straight water as from what i read the peat pellet has what it needs for now. Am i correct or should i start my nutes? Hey GC Not much to update shes growing nicely... lowered the light made a few changes so the fan sits higher and the breeze actually tickles the plant. Still just usinf straight water. Ive been dipping a cup into the res and top feeding once a day.. not really using my diy drip system mostly cause i dont have a timer plus i like checking up on it. Well... my room just got pretty crowded... the plan was to germ my berry bomb and scrog the shit out of her or harvest the pollen from him. Either way win win lol.the day after i germed i found out a good friend of mine had 2 clones waiting for me so i made to hempy buckets. i went to pick them up today and 2 turned into 4... so now i have 5 plants in a space designed for 2 at the most. Way to late to put outside so im not sure what to do lol. 3 clones are crown og (never heard of it but looked it up) and the 4th is and i quote "some Jamaican shit thats fucking weird, i got the seeds while in Jamaica"... he doesnt uderstand them and i tried to say im 90% sure theyre hermies cause they grow female buds but also have seeds with no male around. Well, i did it. Topped my clones for the first time. Hurting my girls like that goes agaisnt my religion. Also tied her down a bit. This one shall be known as princess lol and she likes the bondage. Queeny... on the other hand is a little more beefy and doesnt bow for anyone. Lady bomb (untill i can think of a more suitable name) got her first res change and added some extremely mild nutes Im also using this water to feed all my plants they all got a sip. I know its a little to early to add nutes to the res but A: the roots havent hit bottom so it doesnt really matter and B: like i said im using the water to feed other plants and C: the label does say for clones and seedlings so in theory it will be fine. Went to the hydroshop today, got some wiltguard (dont have hydroguard in canada). When i did a res change visually the water was fine but my hoses had a bit of a slimey feel to them so i rinsed them off yesterday and added a few ml of wiltguard today. Gave all the ladies a sip. Quick update today. Watered all of them and had to check up on my root. Little excited now as shes finally touched ground... err water. And shes made some distance. Terrible pic i know but the pot is actually quite heavy lol Didnt notice when i was taking the pic but as i look at it now it might be another root right in the center hole. Will have to look again later. Not much change on the surface but the magic is about to begin. Res change day! Washed out bucket and Added 10ml of GMB each and roughly 8ml of wilt guard. Roots are getting longer by the day. Leaves are starting to curl/cup upwards. Cupping is usually from the nutes being on the strong side... are you using your nutes at full strength or diluted? Looking good either way! Cupping is very minor and even if it is strong nutes it looks like the plants will adjust quickly!
