Profound religous experience

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by griff842, Oct 6, 2009.

  1. So i picked up an eighth of some 'indoor juicy fruit' or something. I then smoked it with my friends in a glass bowl. I got so fucking high we ended up walking around this park and as i was staring up at the sky i noticed something. The lights were really bright and they seemed to be looking at me. they were the eyes of God, because god is everywhere and i felt his presence. The noise of people laughing drowned away and i felt immersed in his love.

I've always wondered about marijuana and its ethneogenic properties. Is the religious experience caused by malfunctioning neurotransmitters? Of course. But what if, just what if God, assuming he/she does exist, put the plant in the earth to help us heal, relax, have fun and love?

  2. Its gotta be here for some reason right?

  3. Yea, one word, The Munchies. well actually that's two. haha

  4. wow sounds deep man...absolutely beautiful. i have had experiences like that all the time when i set the mood right (plenty of mary jane, incense, a neutral state of mind, the right music and itunes visualizer :D) keep enjoying bro one love

  5. Itunes has a visualizer? how do you access it? lol

  7. dude i wish i could have this exp. and i agree on the weed is here for a reason thing.

  8. Believe it or not my friend, I began smoking because of a religious experience I had.

I was in a lot of pain as a younger teenager, because of migraines and serious stomach issues, and one night I prayed for god to help me ease the pain, that I was sick of all the doctors giving me a go around and not really helping. The next day a friend took me to an older sisters house and I got high for the first time.

While I was sitting there I got really really spaced out then all of a sudden a voice appeared in my head, and said "This should help son"

I know I might get criticized for this or whatever, but it happened, I believe God led me to marijuana, and there's nothing anyone can do to convince me differently.

  9. I definitely have moments where I feel connected to something a lot bigger than myself when I smoke. Is it the universe, is it god? I really don't know, but I have felt it so completely that in those moments I can't imagine anything better.

  10. ive had the same expierence on the comedown high for shrooms. fucken amazing. The feeling is unexplainable.
    Theres definitely something about nature...

  11. yo thats trippy son, i dont believe in god, but i can see that happening.

  12. rep. I feel honored to have read that message.

  13. Congratulations! You just discovered the purpose of the Cannabis plant.

  14. This is called being "High as Fuck". Hope you enjoyed it.

  15. I think I have heard the malfunctiong neurotransmitters theory before however my theory is much more simpler and I can prove it to be true. Visualize a child kept in sole confinement their whole life who has never been spoken to. Lets say they have a malfunctioning neurotransmitter imbalance problem....it won't be possible for them to have a religious experience because they have no knowledge/belief of what religion even is. Religious experiences are caused by belief and belief alone.

  16. I have been asking this question now for 23 years.....is it ok to smoke MJ.
I am a spiritial being, I believe in a relationship with him not doing "Regiious" things. I have asked long time knowledgable christians....christians who have had led very hard lives...you know former average run of the mill party animals.
Anyway one of the guys I asked said the only way he sees it could be a sin .....is only because its illeagle.......and only if you dont become dependant upon it (dont let it take over your life).
Also dont get to wasted that you dont know whats going on....WHY? because there are spirits all around us and when you dont have control of your mind then thats when they can enter our minds.....( I have seen this happen, you know when someone doesnt even look like the same person...mind you there was always drinking involved..)

I myself have had very spiritual experences when high...I will tell one story thats really cool..

One summer night I was outside my house right after I finished a joint....now I gotta tell you I was always asking God to show me some spiritual stuff. I was always intrested in the dark side....anyway I was out there not to stoned but feeling quite happy.
This really creepy feeling comes over me and I see two glowing eyes looking at me thru the bush.(I live on the edge of a forest) Anyway I was pretty scared then a calming voice tells me "what are you scared of you have the holy spirit in you " Then I like "Yeah" so I go and investagate.
Now Iam looking at the bushes....brances...twigs and leaves and the outline of them forms this demon about the size of a dog with wings on the side of it.....
That same voice that told me not to be scared said "look bigger!" Look bigger I thought what do you mean look bigger...Then I saw it.
A even bigger demon about the size of a tree and under it wings were more demons of variuos sizes....I hear it again.." Now look even bigger"
soooo now I open my full spiritial eyes and see everything....hundred of thousand demons....winged creatures.......naked women with perfect bodies and demon faces. (which I was told latter it was a spirit of pornography) these demons were everywhere except where I had prayed protection over my house hold.
My house looked like a snow globe but in reverse (cause the demons were on the outside) I was standing in awe and incompleate calmness...and my dog who I used to think barked at nothing allll the time was standing next to me looking around at the same places I was looking...and she looked up at me and seemed to tell me."See....see what iam always barking at."

It didnt stop there I went inside and decided to listen to some music then God shows me where or who I can be....but to get there I had to follow the scale.

The scale measues eveything you do...and its up to you to get to the end. Every positve action moves you ahead on the scale you should always be progressing....If you choose to do nothing then you will go nowhere on the scale and probably pick up bad habbits and slide futher back on the scale......but guess what it doesnt matter how far back on the scale you go as long as you continue to move forward youll be right back where you were...point is you can move foward faster then backwards.

Wow long post here just needed to get that off my chest I guess.

The part of the brain that is responsible in large part for "profound religious experiences" is located in the temporal lobe. It isn't well understood, but it certainly isn't a mass of malfunctioning neurons. It can be stimulated using magnetic fields to spontaneously produce a feeling of "religious experience." Profound experiences of contact with deities have been a crucial part of human evolution. I suggest you look up Terrence McKenna's writings about his "Stoned Ape Hypothesis." Fascinating stuff.

    This is untrue...
