Re: Congratulation!

I've been slowly processing the import of what's happened over the last several hours and man is it tough. America didn't suddenly change with yesterday's result; indeed, it had changed well before this. But many thrive off of highlighting our differences instead of seeing how we all have this country in common and the hope for a better day. In the midst of so many pointless political fights the Nation was undergoing a change that was somehow unseen--but was real none-the-less. Yesterday was confirmation that we are a diverse and generous people that are willing to take a chance on the future.

So this is what tomorrow looks like eh? Thanks for making a thread like this budda.

Peace, love, and hope.

Would have been the same if McCain won.

Re: Congratulation!

Yes, congrats to Obama and all who voted for him! ^__^

I'm not going to lie, I'm trying to be optimistic to this "change" he will bring, and am finding it hard to keep it up for so long, but I do hope for the best either way!

Re: Congratulation!

Wow, Obama even ended up winning Indiana. Indiana hasn't gone to a Democrat since Lyndon Johnson in 1964 - pretty amazing.

Yeah, I had a friend who was a Hilldog tell me there was no way that Obama would win, so by voting for him in the primaries i might as well get used to hearing "President McCain".

Because McCain was already the nominee, I used my primary vote in my state to vote for Obama because out of those two it's still a tough choice but screw bush clinton bush clinton.
