Re: Congratulation!

I've been smoking for 10 hours today, following this debate since I woke up, and I'm super happy right now. I feel pretty good about this, definitelty something we'll all be telling our kids about in 20 years.

I agree.

"...And so he was elected, to be the last President of the former United States of America..."

Re: Congratulation!

Congrats to Obama, and mad respect Budda, I hope you will be happy with him as president come next year =)

Ive never felt patriotic before haha, this is so weird and awesome...His speech was incredible, the rhetoric that comes from this man is almost unparalleled..he is on par with Martin Luther King jr, Winston Churchill, and Abraham Lincoln.

after the speech thousands of people around my college took to the streets and it was fucking awesome...cops didnt stop it lol, they blocked off the streets for us as we all chanted, danced and cheered (and quite a few people toked up too haha) people were standing on streetlights, screaming out of windows...Today will never be forgotten.

Once again, Congratulations to President elect Barack Obama, his wife, his 2 kids, and soon their new dog =D

Re: Congratulation!

I'm really proud of the way you guys are coming together. This type of thread is what the City's really about and you're representing it well.

agreed..
with all of the arguing and disagreement, it was good to see it remain civil. With the race factor, it could have gotten pretty ugly in here.

Re: Congratulation!

I've smoked lots of weed and taken lots of xanax tonight, so the quality of my post will suffer from that...lol

But.... YAY!

He won by having a clear message that he stuck to. He'll either do really well, or really bad, and either one will amount to change in our politics.

cnn hasn't had anything at all about third parties. Is anywhere reporting those details?

Re: Congratulation!

Well, I've finally pulled myself away from CNN for a few minutes to see how the Grass City Election Polling Facility has been taking the final word, and I'm proud to say that even the people who had no faith (guilty as charged) in the results have been acting admirably!

As Budda said, let us hope that he is all that we have been led to believe, because even though we cast our vote one way or the other, this is the leader that has been chosen for the American people. Regardless of where your dignity lies, Senator Obama is now the future President of the United States and we should respect him as such. He has my full extent of character (let's hope) for conducting an excellent campaign and making his way through every adversary before him and support in the coming years of his presidency.

All right... Umm...

Hey, if McCain had taken the majority vote, a good few of us would have had to go into exile.

Well, it's true.

Re: Congratulation!

I just glad this is over.

I hope the republicans really work on getting back to the Reagan conservative model.

Re: Congratulation!

I'm so extremely grateful that both sets of my grandparents as well as my parents are alive to witness this historic moment.

That truly means alot to me.

Go Obama
