Soul, Funk, Etc Thread

I had a look and couldn't find a thread for this type of music. If there is then just ignore me.
One of the things I gained from getting into Hiphop was that I also got into soul music. I use to listen to a hiphop tune and wonder where that sample came from. Then I would go and find the original tune and that then got me into soul music.
