Do you think Marijuana will be legal, or some kind of legalized version by the year 2020?

Explain why or why not?

In the U.S.?? On a federal level?? On a state level??

I don't think federally it will be either decrimed or legal. MMJ will be legal in most states, and Im gonna say 5-10 states will have it leagalized by 2020. Probably Cali, washington, colorado, oregon...

By 2025-2030 it will be legal everywhere. No doubt.

Definitely legal in a few states and mMJ will be widely accepted. Federally we might have to wait a good long while.

No, politician will never go before their constituency and propose to legalize a plant, that they've been trying to make extict for 60+ years. They will be asked " Well were you stupid or just lying to us" And therefore will never be re-elected. Stupid politics.

But i wish it could be legalized before i die, it'd be nice to finally see the world at peace.

I do not think so, I would even go as far to say not even on the state level. I think this because when states do what they want in opposition to the federal government, the Fed likes to take away federal funds for certain things to put pressure on the state to do what the Fed wants. I could be wrong though, if we continue to build on our national debt maybe. First a group would have to undergo a national campaign to speak on marijuana's benefits and debunk the myths.

This doesn't really make sense to me. No politician today can be blamed for making cannabis illegal because cannabis was made illegal decades ago. They can only be blamed for not repealing the laws. If anything, the politician who did make it legal will be celebrated by one half of the legalization spectrum, and demonized by the other. The trick is to tilt the scales in favor of our side of the spectrum, in turn, keeping that politician safe.

Decriminalized in Canada for sure... Legalized if Trudeau get's in. Him getting in is almost guaranteed if he decides to run.

Once Canada legalizes it, I can see a much stronger push for decrim/legalization in the northern/liberal states.

Marijuana is already decriminalized here in BC, so I can see it being legal around 2015-2020

Already been decrim in Ky. I think it will be legal in 5 years. There's just so much going for it these days. Seems to always come up in state legislature.

Well with Mitt Romney looking like he might be our next president, I doubt it would be legalized at the federal level, but I still hold out hope that the feds will move it to a states rights issue and take their hands off. This could be sold on simply economic benefits and even a moron...er...mormon can do the right thing if financially motivated.
