I cut down the entire plant and hang it for 5-7 days. I keep a humidifier in the room to prolong the process. I then jar them up and put a hygrometer in the jars. I keep the RH at 65. Burp daily and read to smoke in 4 weeks.

he puts it slightly more humid so that the drying process takes more time. If you try to dry your herb too fast it destroys other flavors and the way it smokes.

Alright, so when you cut the plant down you just take off the big leafs then dry, and do the final trimming when's it dry

It's a pain in the ass to trim the sugar leaves after they dry IMO. I like to trim it all in one shot. But everyone has their own way....

leave ALL leaves on while drying. the leaves have oils n shit in em that go to the bud if you leave them on while drying. if you cut them off before drying you just dont get access to those oils because they arent connected to the bud.

If the leaves are dead, i cut them off. They are more likely to harbor pests and mold when you leave them on. Also you want to make sure you're getting light onto the healthy leaves. Sometimes big old fan leaves cover up top leaves or colas. It's beneficial to the plant and gives it less stress to help it "shed it's skin" so to speak.
