Secret Grow Room 1st grow journal

Hi I am in the process of my very first ever grow. I have been around other grows , and have been reading my face off for the last several months.

I am in my thirty's , married , have a young kid , and a homeowner. I am also a legal OMMP patient. I am tired of paying for Marijuana that may or may not be quality medicine , plus I hate dealing with the black market. I also am VERY low key with my usage due to my kid , neighbors , family , and friends. Since there is still somewhat of a stigma around marijuana , if I was going to grow it I had to make it so other people could NOT smell or see my growing Marijuana plants. My Room is shaped like an L and the top part of the L is the veg room. The veg room itself is 4.5 x 6.5 , The flower room is the lower part of the L and measures 5.5 x 7. I am going to use a Coco based soil-less grow mix called Tupur. I currently am vegging a few clones out under a 4 bulb 4 foot T5. I am currently running Pineapple express, White widow , Green Crack , and a mystery strain known as V. My flower room has a 8 inch air cooled hood with a 1000w hortilux bulb and 1000w hydrofarm HPS ballast. I am also using a home made carbon filter with a 6 inch Hydrofarm inline blower fan. My Fan sucks through my Filter , then pushes clean air over my light and out into my vented attic. My fresh air intake is passive , and is also filtered. My room is nearly air tight , I sealed every nook and cranny with expanding foam and used some very nice rubber sealing around my door. I am also running Panda plastic from floor to ceiling.

My friend has used tons of different nutes and has settled on General Hydroponics Flora lines. I am using a new system they have called "Dual Flora" also , since I am in a coco mix , I will supplement with Botanicare Cal-Mag also. I use purified filtered water. I also have been setting my PH at 5.8 going in at least.

Subbed. I love that secret grow room. I showed that to my girl last night as what I want to do at our new house and she loves it. It's a big improvement than taking up the master bedroom walk in closet.

Thanks!!! its roughly 1/4th of my garage , but unless you remember how it was before , you would never have a clue it was there.

As soon as I drop my daughter off at school , I will come home and start the Pics and upload a few.

Ok here goes some pics , what do you guys think? Here are my three ladies. They are all Pineapple express. They were cut off the mom about three weeks ago and were in very poor shape when I got them. I have since nursed them back a little. I could use some help here , are my girls just hungry? I am using half strength GH Flora Duo and Cal Mag , half strength on everything. Watering by weight of bucket. Growing in Coco/perlite. I am color blind also , but I can see leaves are slightly discolored.

My problems seemed to have passed. I also grabbed some blue city diesel teens from a friend, they are being nursed back to health . I transplanted 2 of the Pineapple Express, and the two Blue City Diesel into 5 gallon pots on the 3rd. The two Pineapple express were rooted 3 weeks ago. The two BCD are about a month or more old, they just went in 5 gallon pots also. The BCD is about 20" and the P.E. is about 16". On the 2-3-12 I placed all four of these into the flower room under 18-6 1000w HPS. I will take pics of them tomorrow and post an update soon.
Bottom pic is a few misc clones from friends. Oh and I also got a seed from some killer Afgan , I was told it was fertilized by a Skunk #1 hermi. It just sprouted and is looking great.

Ok here is an update. I caught a spec of powdery mildew , which I knocked out quick with a few sulfur treatments. I also got a couple spider mites , yes a couple lol. I am super anal and I check my plants everyday. I found a couple here and there, which I treated with a product call Fungicide 3 , it treats mites , eggs , mildew , mold etc.... I also treated my plants with a product I heard was the best called "take down". I killed almost all of my babies and my two Blue city diesel plants I had. I also pulled everything out of my room , and bleached everything and the walls and floor and ceiling down. I also continue to preemptively treat for bugs of all kinds now. I now search my room several times a day , looking under leaves and such , and to this day I can't find a single mite or a spec of mildew.

So since I had a few issues , I wanted to wait to put these into flower. this is week 5 of veg. They will go into flower12/12 on Friday.

Sorry to hear about the pm and the bugs man. That sucks. Bug prevention is the key. I mix mosquito dunks into my soil now to ensure no fungus gnats, that's the only bug problem I've had so far. Neem oil works good when in veg and maybe short into flowering. I, personally, don't spray a flowering plant but some people will a couple weeks into flowering. Keep on going man. Once you start flowering, you will start seeing the rewards.

Does anyone know the flower time of Pineapple express? I get mixed results everywhere I look. And do I start the flower time from when she shows sex? or when I flip to 12/12?
