Ok guys this is my first grow. I decided to try out the CNS17 coco nutes for this one. All 5 plants are from seed that I found in some dank I bought a while back and they are just a little over 4 weeks old now. Starting to show preflowers and I think they all may be female :D

I've had a little set-back starting them into flowering because my coco bloom hasn't arrived yet. So within the next week I should have these under 12/12.
I was going to do a scrog but I think I have decided against it and will just let this one go natural for my first grow. So far I haven't had any problems except some of the leaves curling and I cant figure out why. Didn't get very good pics so ill upload more later.

looks good so far man.. Every grow I've done so far I have had some form of leaf curl. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It hasn't really affected the final product at all that I can see.

But technically by the book a downward leaf curl is supposedly overwatering. I had the same problem when I was only flooding once a day, so I don't know.

I have no idea on the humidity but temp should be around 80. I need to get a thermometer in there. Also I have a small heater in there because it's been getting cold during the nights and I was gone today and didn't turn it off so it got really hot in there this morning and I noticed some orange splotches on a leaf or two. May try to get pics later

I think I paid $15 for a cheap hygrometer, that will tell you temp and humidity.

Ok here is an update from today. Pics 2 and 7 are of the two plants I decided to top yesterday because they were getting taller than the rest.

Also I find it kind of strange that some of the lower branches have grown taller then the rest of the plant as you can see in the first pic

I cant see your pics bro:/ I would try looking into LSTing before you top, it gets rid of the shock you would get if you topped.

Sorry for the lack of updates. These pictures are from yesterday and the plants are just over 7 weeks old and 27-29". I removed the 3 males and moved my grow room to a more spacious area. I am running the nutrient solution of Botanicare Coco Bloom at about 1100ppm but I would really like to increase the strength of the nutes but am afraid of nute burn. These plants are a week and a half in of 12/12 lighting. Any guesses on how long they will continue to grow taller? And how much should I increase the nutrient strength without nute burn since I clean and replenish the res every 7 days?

I'm not familiar with that nutrient brand to be able to give you an accurate assessment of what your plants will be able to take without burning them. But if you have an EC meter I would try to keep it around 1.6 at the most.

They should stop stretching at around the third week of flower.

hope that helps.

Edit: The 1.6 is what I keep my plants at, but I use a lot of additives as well. Just base nutrients my EC is around 1.0-1.1

Ok so here is an update. Just reached week 4 of flower. Changed nutes yesterday and checked EC at 1400ppm. Both plants are right at 42" and are outgrowing my 400w so I already ordered a 240w Blackstar LED and it will be here by Friday. Pics of the tops of the plants are from where they got to close to the light and got a little burnt a week ago. I also did a little LST with one of them as you can see in the pics because some lower branches weren't getting enough light. Anyone have any estimates on the amount of yield I can expect with plants this big with the provided amount of lighting?

I am very excited to see how the combination of LED and HPS work when used together

And here is a few more pics. The last 3 are of a budsite that has a few brown leaves which is kind of concerning to me because I have had none this at all throughout the grow. It was only one sait too, almost looked like a bug caused it maybe?

...lookin good bro!
...one thing I would do, or shall I say, something I do,do....I would cover your table, I use panda poly myself. It helps with a few things:

...stops mildew from growing on your table where the water is exposed to light.
...lowers your humidity by locking the moister inbetween the poly and your table.
...grows better roots (allows your roots to crawl from under your pot and across the table by blocking the light and locking in the humidity, roots run from light and die as they dry)
...keep'on, keep'n on! ;)
