That NYC Crack!

Hey Guys! I made a great haul last week and figured I'd post a few pics and reviews to share. Some of these strains are familiar favorites for me, while others are new ones that I've been lucky to try recently. All in all, I'm loving the fact that I've got this many options available to me right now.

Chemdawg D:

Smell: wood glue, diesel, moth balls, road kill skunk - 9/10

Taste: vanilla, hash, skunk, hippie sweat - 10/10

Potency: 11/10 - nothing I've come across packs a punch quite like this

High: 11/10 - beyond comparison. This can't be smoked every day because it would be impossible to function. I can smoke hash all day and still feel this on its own.

Overall: 11/10 - The benchmark against which I measure all dank herbs.




Blue Asian Diesel:

Genetics: Blue Fantasy X Tres Dawg

Smell: 10/10 - one of the best smells ever. Straight up chemdawg infused with blueberry soda.

Taste: 10/10 - exactly like the smell. Straight up blueberry diesel fuel infused with hash.

Potency: 10/10 - just a notch below the chem d, almost negligible difference in strength.

High: 10/10 - strong indica body effects while still giving you that soaring head high. Very balanced and complete.

Overall: 10/10 - This is a new favorite. I'm cherishing this bud and smoking it as slowly as possible.




Black Haze:

Smell: 10/10 - old school piff. Flowery, fruity, delicious.

Taste: 10/10 - amazing. Floral, earthy, hashy, fruity. very, very clean.

Potency: 8/10 - this isn't comparable to a chem or a diesel in potency, but it's respectable.

High: 10/10 - amazing sativa head high. Music is amazing, as are munchies. This is that old school piff in rare form.

Overall: 9/10 - this is a classic that I'll be smoking forever. Any NYC heads who have been around for a while know and love this stuff.

 

Blue Fantasy:

Genetics: Asian Fantasy X Blueberry

Smell: 10/10 - beautiful blueberry soda. Sweet, diesely, pungent.

Taste: 10/10 - exactly like the smell, super clean, super sweet.

Potency: 8.5/10 - Surprisingly strong, can definitely knock you out in larger doses.

High: 9/10 - very interesting stone. This is an indica bud that gives you many qualities of a sativa buzz. Definite couchlock, but also super relaxing.

Overall: 9/10 - definite classic. Great combination of taste, bag appeal, and stone.



Chem Sister:

Smell: 10/10 - Rotten meat, diesel, road kill skunk

Taste: 10/10 - Better taste than the Chem D - super hashy, earthy and skunky.

Potency: 9/10 - a notch below the Chem D. Very, very respectable though.

High: 10/10 - this is a real skunk high. Heavy behind the eyes, couch lock, munchies. Great body stone.

Overall: 10/10

HP13:

Smell: 10/10 - I've never smelled anything like this. Garlic, onions, skunk, armpits. Super pungent.

Taste: 10/10 - Soooo delicious. Skunky, musky, pungent.

Potency: 7.5/10 - Not that strong, but enough so that it's worth smoking.

High: 9/10 - really relaxed, sedative stone.

Overall: 9/10 - I can't stop smoking this stuff. The taste and smell are just so unique. I really can't explain it as it's unlike anything else. This is a clone only strain from the early 90s, so it's lost some of its potency over time. Regardless, I still love it and will continue smoking the shit out of it.

 

Malawi Gold:

Smell: 10/10 - acrid, musky, earthy

Taste: 10/10 - like a dry haze, earthy, hashy, musky

Potency: 9/10 - fantastic strength for a sativa.

High: 10/10 - amazing sativa buzz. Knockout head high that wakes you up then puts you to sleep, makes music and movies incredible. Super, super munchies from this one as well.

Overall: 10/10 - this is an amazing 70s strain with African genetics. It's so different from most modern strains that it really is a treat just getting to try this stuff. Absolutely loved it and will buy a shit ton if I ever see it again.

 

Hey all, didn't quite get the response I was hoping for in this thread, so here comes another review! This morning I've been puffing on some Hawaiian Pakalolo and I must say that it's quite wonderful. The potency isn't mind numbing, but the high is super sedative and the taste is top notch.

Hawaiian Pakalolo:

Smell: 9/10 - purple, menthol, fruity - delicious!

Taste: 9/10 - subtle, but just like the smell.

High: 10/10 - reaaaally relaxed, heavy behind the eyes, super chilled out. excellent.

Potency: 8/10 - this isn't knockout stuff, but it's more than strong enough to be a worthy smoke.

Overall: 9/10 - definitely a unique strain, totally different from the diesels, chems and hazes I usually smoke. Will keep this one around for sure.

 

Very good observation - you must know your stuff! I've been lucky enough to be personally connected to a fantastic grower/breeder over the past few years. He's been around for a long time, and has consistently provided me with high quality, fair prices, and amazing variety since I've been going to him. Just FYI, all these nuggets came from one pickup!

 

White Haze:

Genetics: The White x Original Haze

Smell: 10/10 - It smells like haze, but... dirty. Stinky, body odor-ish, floral

Taste: 10/10 - Super hazy and raunchy. Just like the smell, but even more delicious
than you'd expect

High: 10/10 - Just like an old school haze, but with more power (thanks to the white)

Potency: 9/10 - This stuff is definitely stronger than a normal haze, but it's not quite as potent as pure White.

Overall: 10/10 - The genetics of this strain are absolutely ridiculous. I personally grew up smoking haze, and think that it's some of the most unique and amazing smoke around. It's a soaring sativa that makes for an imaginative, trippy high. The White on the other hand is some of the dankest indica smoke I've ever had. It's got a bleachy, lemony smell and some of the crazist crystals I've ever seen. It's also got potency that rivals the Chem D. The offspring of these strains is straight up dirty, raunchy, hazy and amazing.

 

Did you ever get that yellow/brown haze? That was always my favorite. I think they call it the pude.

 

Stardawg:

Genetics: Tres Dawg X Chem 4

Smell: 11/10 - Stankiest, skunkiest, most diesely strain I've ever smelled. It reeks of pure fuel, honey, road kill, chemmy-ness. Everything you love about sour diesel or OG Kush times ten.

Taste: 11/10 - Amazing. Pure dankness. All chem, kush, skunk and honey. A real deep and rich flavor whether you're smoking a pipe, blunt, or vaporizer. The best.

High: 11/10 - Everything I love about the Chem D with a twist. Super deep Indica high that makes everything feel surreal.

Potency: 11/10 - Probably 98% the strength of the Chem D. 2nd strongest strain I've ever smoked.

Overall: 11/10 - This stuff is just flat out amazing. If you're into growing, do yourself a favor and check out Topdawg Seeds. This strain should be the more popular than OG Kush and Sour Diesel and just about everything else.

Sour Diesel:

Smell: 11/10 - Suuuuper skunky. Chemmy, fruity, sweaty, tangy, fuely.

Taste: 11/10 - Zesty, diesely, citrusy, sour, musky.

High: 9/10 - Deep behind the eyes stone. Intense, but not as long lasting as it could be.

Potency: 9.5/10 - Definitely elite stuff. Most would consider this the top.

Overall: 10/10 - It's obvious why this is some of the most in well known and sought after herb. Sour has an amazing combination of Potency, Super skunky smell, amazing taste/smoke and bag appeal. Great stuff for sure.
