removing fan leaves before 12/12

  1. Ok so i was just wondering if it would be beneficial to remove some lower fan leaves that are covering up the bud sites before i put this female into full on flower. I removed alot of fan leaves from one of my plants and the bottom of the plant is taking off so im not sure what to do.

  2. i tend to remove tons of leaves and I'm a newbie so I'm not 100% certain as to if I'm hurting or helping.

  3. Leaves make energy. It is better to move them out of the way if possible.

  4. The leaves im talking about are not receiving much light so there almost pointless being there in my eyes

  5. As long as leaves are still green they have energy that is available to help produce bud. Once they are useless to the plant they will yellow and fall off naturally.

  6. Cosign. Only remove em if they're yellow and look half dead. If they're still green, tuck em out of the way if possible.

  7. Just because a plant leaf isn't getting direct sunlight doesn't mean it isn't doing anything for your plant. Those leaves are there to help the plant survive. Sure i go to town hacking on my ladies, but never there leaves. When simple enough usually you can fold them down under. The only time a leaf comes off is one that naturally dies and falls or is about to fall off in flowering. But i keep them with all those leaves. But that is just my opinion. Here you are going to find tons of different opinions, and with growing it all depends on the location, strain? and alot of other things, so plz take this with a grain of salt. and good luck and happy growing :D

  8. If they're on the top 2/3 I'd leave them...everything below chop
