Are there enough middle class jobs for all poor people?

  1. Why do we expect most poor people to magically escape poverty by getting middle class jobs which are limited?

  2. There already isn't enough middle class jobs for middle class people.

  3. We don't, only fools think that is so.

  4. But alot of people blame the poor for being poor. Isn't there a limited set of opportunities?

  5. If you don't have a job and you're not rich... Blame Yo Self!

  6. If it's not the poor's fault that they are poor then who's fault is it?

  7. The architects of our modern system.

If there are only a small number of middle class jobs available to the millions of poor people then how can you blame them for not ascending to the middle class?

  8. I'm glad you blame the government too.

But no one has any responsibility to you or to me to ensure either of us has a job or can eat. That is our own responsibility.

  9. There are still middle class people?

  10. Not in all cases but I blame the Gov. They continue to push once good jobs over seas, and destroy all ready established industries(health insurance). My family has directly been fucked by Gov meddling. When I was young we lived middle\upper class until NAFTA was passed and my fathers industry was shipped over seas. We struggled for a while, had to sell the nice house and shit. Then he gets into the health insurance industry, and he was killing it. He is amazing at sells so he does good. We climb back up from lower class to middle class again and then what happens? Obama care. Now insurance brokers get 50% less for every policy sold. Basically he needs to find a new industry, or work twice as hard for the same pay as last year.

Not everyone has the ability to work. What if you are disabled? Do you still need to work to eat? The welfare state is wrong and the system needs an overhaul but we do need some sort of safety net for the old, and disabled. Or I guess we could just kill them off and use the dead body's to make food and sell it to poor county's as hamburger helper.

  11. Back in the day people used to have to come up with ideas to make money if there weren't jobs.

Now society allows them the privilege to sit around bitching, waiting for the help wanted sign to re-appear.

  12. Government workers and leaders are puppets. You can only blame them for so much.

When people live in towns and cities they survive off of jobs. If jobs aren't available most can't go to the wilderness and survive like Rambo. So the leaders of these towns and cities have a responsiblity to make sure jobs are available because we elect them to power and expect them to protect our interest.

How hard it is to survive for the individual is matter of planning. As humans we can make survival easier for everyone depending on how well we plan and structure our system. Why should we go back to the caveman days where survival was hard because we didn't work together in a sophisticated fashion?

  13. Jobs don't matter when you get paid in depreciated fiat currency. People focus way too much on jobs when looking at an economy.

  14. And so thought the founding fathers, and they got all 1776 on their oppressors...they took control of their country and tried to ensure everyone had the same opportunities at success....they tried...

shortly after, those with a lot, decided the with/with-out gap had to be broader, to ensure they would always have, while others had not...and the purchasing of politicians took off. Laws created that fucked over the poor and middle class, to favor those with...and the process was refined, the rate of gap broadening was increased...and here we are today.

Sure nobody is responsible for the poor putting forth effort to eat/find shelter/succeed...but it is not the poor peoples fault that the government/law prevents them from doing so...the poor have never purchased political power.

  15. Democracy is a mostly flawed concept. Too many people have no business influencing the future of a government..... Instead, how about we throw out the current regime and install a....I don't know, Constitutional Republic with strong democratic principles. ;)

  16. ya...some are sucking the tit of welfare, while others, living off parental support and never having to work or put forth that same effort they demand of 'the less deserving'...spit on anyone not as privileged, not as coddled, not as pampered as they are...using excuses of NO EFFORT, when the laws/rules are blocking the path to be self sufficient.

tossing all the poor into the same kettle shows that some people could just be bigoted and ignorant.

Back in the day there were more opportunities for new ideas to succeed because fewer ideas had been tried and tested. Now every basic idea has been exhausted and mastered to the point where there are no entry opportunities.

Also it's easier to come up with genius ideas when you're a genius. No wonder they're the ones in the mansions while the rest of us fight for scraps. You have an upper class of smarter people and while they may have earned their money they didn't earn their brains which were the means to getting the money. They're smart because they were born smart, yet they act like everyone has a fair and equal shot at prosperity. That's a lie.

People don't talk about intelligence in class warfare discussions but it's the elephant in the room.

  18. Everyone should have a voice in our society. How would you like it if your voice and vote were silenced and taken away because some snob deemed you unworthy.

    Fuck that.

  19. That's the spirit!

Hard work and perseverance goes a lot further than intelligence.

The number one barrier to reducing disparity is the corrupt government. Remove the distortions of the state and then we can talk about wealth redistribution.

  20. How would you like it if the majority voted to take away the human rights of the minority? That's what a democracy always turns into and it's what we have now. The founding fathers knew this very well and they rightfully looked down on a democracy for that reason.
