Should I tell my parents?

I am a teenager and I have been smoking regurlarly a few months now. Both of my parents also smoke weed regularly and I even take weed from them sometimes when Im in need of weed. It all started when they decided to grow a plant last summer. It ended up being a major succes and they got 3 oz from it. Ofcourse, just like any teenager would be, I was curious. So one night I took like a gram and when my dad went to bed I took his bowl and sat outside and smoked. It was pretty good and then I kept doing it. I started buying though and my friend made my own piece since I was so worried about taking.

After about a month of me taking by then I had taken probobly close to a fourth, my Mom said stop taking my weed and that was all she said. I just ignored her and walked away. A week or so later I was smoking in the basement because I thought it was safe and my Mom came down to do the laundry and it still stunk. She said whos smoking down here, and I again ignored her.

I hardly ever take anymore and I have my own homemade pieces and weed and I hardly ever smoke in the house.

My parents have never majorly confronted me about it besidestelling me to quit taking there weed. I think they kind of know that I smoke but they dont know exactly everything. They dont know that I buy or that I make my own smoke tools.

Me and my friend want to grow a plant on our land next summer because we live in the country and we have 5 acres. But I really dont want to do this unless my parents truly know that I smoke. Im pretty sure that they dont care, but I want to know the boundaries and if I should grow a plant. I want to get the "oh my parents are going to catch me" feeling off my back.

So what do you think? Should i tell my parents that I smoke?

Stop taking their damn weed without their permission and just man up and tell them. If they are fucking growing then I doubt they will care that you smoke.

First of all, stop stealing their weed!

It's obvious that they know that you smoke considering how much weed you stole from them, so just be straight up and forward with them. If you are 18, just like the forum rules require you to be, i don't think you'll have a problem.

Bro, if you were told to stop taking their weed and you were alone in the basement than you're already caught.

Just grow a pair and tell them, they already know. Also, ignoring your parents isn't very respectful and isn't going to help you.

Be responsible and stop taking their weed. Just talk to them like an adult about smoking and I'm sure they'll understand considering they smoke/grow themselves. I don't think it's too hard.

They're fine with smoking, they smoke, they grow, you know they're cool with weed.

So why not tell them?

I would think, knowing your parents are not against marijuana use, that it would be much better to be up front with them and tell them whats going on than to continue hiding it, taking from their stash, and being generally shady.

Your mom tells you to quit taking their weed, and she asks whose smoking, both of the times you ignored her, and you still think they "dont know"?

They probably wouldnt care if you didnt take their weed, you knwo thats like 12 year old shit right? Thats almost literally stealing directly out of her purse. Grow the fuck up, buy your own weed, and if your mom confronts you about smoking look her directly in the eyes and tell her you smoke.

Dude, you're in a unique position here. You have parents that you know are fine with marijuana use.

It really sounds to me like they just want you to be upfront with them. They never told you not to smoke, just to quit taking their weed.

And hell, they might only have a problem with you taking their weed because of the simple fact that you're being shady about it and not talking to them first.

Why would you NOT tell them? Blow down with them. If they grow, tell them you'll help them out with their plant. Water it, give it nutes, etc. They'll give you free bud.

Seriously. They smoke, grow, know you smoke, etc. Just tell them like it is.

"Mom, Dad, I started to smoke weed. Just thought I'd be a man about it and let you know. I've taken your weed a couple of times, I apologize for that. *Insert reasons why you smoke, etc*"

I think most of us had parents who were either very against smoking or who we thought were very against smoking. Not many people have been in the situation you are.

But looking at the facts... your parents have caught you smoking, they know you smoke. They didn't tell you to stop smoking, they told you to stop taking their weed.

From an outside perspective (which may be harder to see from the inside), it really seems that they are fine with you smoking as long as you don't act shady and take their shit.

Just be mature about it, confront them like an adult.
"Hey, I know you guys have caught me stealing your stash before, I shouldn't have done that and I'm sorry. Don't grow with your friend, shit ends up bad normally. But your parents already know, and they'd probably rather you help out on the plants than be out buying from other people.
