Ji GC, as the title says.....

    What type of medium; hydro

    Indoors
    What strain ak47
How old are the plants 6wk, res changed at start of wk 1 and again at beginning of wk4
What type of lights and how many watts hps 400w
What is your watering frequency and source of water : RO water 3 times a day drip irrigation

What, how much and when was it fed? GH 3 parts nutes
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? rockwool cubes and expanded clay pebbles/ph range from 5.8 to 6.3
What are the temps and humidity in the room? temps around 75 humidity from 40 to 55% tops
    What size pots? 14 liters
Any bugs? Look real close. not at all

the symptoms started to slowly appear during the end of wk 4.... ec has been to a maximum of 1.10 during wk4 then (during the same week) the ph stopped rising and dropped instead. I have been diluting the solution until it got to 0.80 and ph started rising again. now i'm around 0.90 and ph is rising again as normal, if I go over 0.95 ph starts dropping again:confused::confused::confused:. My guess is that it's pretty low to cause burns... maybe lack of some nutrient?? and why the ph is reacting like that in spite of such low EC readings? the first pic i wouldn't worry too much about, that symptom is just spread on the leaves which are closest to the biggest fan I have in a corner, i guess it's kind of a wind burn?? is this possible? the second pic looks like a deficiency to me (maybe magnesium???). most of the leaves on the top of the plants are green and healthy but on some TOP bud sites there are a few of those leaves, i just noticed today some of them are getting dried out as well. Bud growth is not as good as in my last growth... but before I was doing half northern light and half ak..... I didn't encounter the problems i have in the second picture...

    advice needed thanks

  2. I would flush and wait. Its the easiest way to decipher if its over or under fed.

  3. I have 3 GDP's that I was just tweaking on and all three showed that same look,in a soiless mix I gave 2 Cal mag and they cleaned right up

  4. that makes me think..... I read somewhere that if you use RO water and the ec readings of my RO water are extremely low (mine is 0.02/0.03) you should consider using cal mag...... and the ec readings are too low to denote a burn. I'm 99% sure it's a lack of something, I experienced burns before with that strain and it was around 1.8/1.9.... but I never used RO water previously so maybe that's the case..... thanks for the inputs, now I will go meditate on it :smoke:

  5. there it is! RO needs to have cal mag or Epson salt added at each watering because of its lack of!

  6. it makes sense yes! the only problem now is that I don't have cal mag or epson salt.... will do some research and see what they are first.... I never thought RO water could actually cause problems.... oh well, still learning.... thanks a bunch I really think this is the solution!!
