We just jam for now, so i have nothing for show and tell
Maybe sometime soon we'll get around to actually recording something...
We have a bunch of instruments though:
electric guitar
acoustic
electric acoustic (in the process of converting my regular acoustic)
bass
drum set
keyboard (we had to give it back to my roomies dad though, in the process of acquiring another one)
also sax
trumpet
random shit like harmonicas, bongos, didgeridoos
We have enough instruments now its just about spending the time practicing/coming up with some good vibes. It'd be nice if we had a legit mic for vocals to...
Im so grateful that im at all musically inclined, i genuinely pity people who dont play a single instrument.

i dabble in guitar, play the drums, but primarily stick to bass. i record hip hop, make beats, mix/produce, scratch vinyl, and mess around with everything i can get my hands on.
music is a good way to spread good vibes, regardless of style or how well you play.
music is my escape, something that i can use as a tool to block myself out from any problems in the real world. just smoke some weed, drink some beers and go jess first.
what kind of music are you planning on recording? getting a decent set up to record instruments and vocals is not expensive, you should look into getting something as simple as a usb mic, an interface and a decent program.

We all have pretty wide tastes in music which i love. Personally i love classical piano (any type of orchestra really), anything acoustic, most classic rock, some metal, and any hiphop or rap thats thought provoking/melodic. As a group we would be just as happy playing a song from the 60's as we would from 2010.
We were thinking of becoming a tribe called quest cover band hahaha it would be pretty easy and probably pretty dope. anything that is crazy heavy on sampling we would have difficulty with, but we have plenty of firends in the dj/mixing scene so we could probably include that into our setup as well.
I agree man, music (especially combined with weed) is a fantastic escape. You can just forget everything and let the music take you away.
I wish i was at my house instead of my parents for Christmas break... im in the biggest mood to jam haha

and tribe fucking rules, nuff said. you get +rep for wanting to be in a cover band as soon as im back on a comp not my phone.
you check out the link i posted for Glimpse the Unthinkable? his lyrics are pretty relevant and thought provoking, especially "Lizards" its about the reptilians haha

my main goal would be this song, it was the first tribe song I heard and liked... shouldnt be hard other then the scratching
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71ubKHzujy8]A Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It - YouTube[/ame]
Some nas songs (illmatic) would be pretty cool to, although they might need a few changes here and there. If we get good enough we might just start converting any hiphop we like into our own folk version haha
Loved a lot of those tunes man, i was pleasantly surprised usually most music people put up is complete shit. The beats were spot on, sound crisp, and the general production (voice overs) was really good... the lyrics were good as well.
The thing that would stop these from being big is mainly the voices and flow i'd say, at least for me. While good, they lack a certain confidence/steez like most successful artists have. That will come with time though, you boys are 100% on the right track. Keep doing what you're doing

I made this beat out of a sample I already made a beat out of but chose to utilize the chops more than loops,,,, I was also leaned out off that tussin and sprite, so the beat may sound a little slow or throwed to yall

that Gray Platter beat is not my cup of tea, it'll probably come to life once someone rhymes on it.
