Approve of 2012 Strain list?

  1. What do you like? What do you not like? Why? Have you ever grown any? Anything would help, first time growing these strains and don't want them to mold on me like last season :D

    Single Seeds:

    • Sensi Star
    • Super Lemon Haze
    • Super Silver Haze
    • Tangerine Dream
    • Yumboldt 47
    • Afghan Kush Ryder (Auto)
    • BlackJack (Auto)
    • Trainwreck
    • Two free fem'ed seeds.

I mean for fuck sake even if you don't know a single one of these strains, suggest a strain you enjoyed growing. LOL. Going to order soon, have done a lot of research, and just want to make sure there isn't one you guys are like "Nahh, don't grow that"

  2. Super silver haze is a great smoke! Probably the highest I've ever been.

Right now I'm growing some seeds from a mixed pack, they're all different hazes. One is doing significantly better than the rest, I wish I knew which strain it is so I could recommend it to you, its like it experiences no shock or stunted growth from anything, even losing half its roots.

I'd like to recommend some of TGA Subcool's strains, they all look extremely potent, colorful in some cases, and well bred. Here is qrazy train:

I would add some earlier strains as Hazes and Kush Afghan are late finishers. I don't know them all but make sure you have sativa in them for airier buds. I'm trying Ch9 seeds and Eva seeds both femmed and cheap like Female seeds.

This is my line up! Let's make this the 2012 line up thread ok?

    I have:
    - 3 Sensi star seeds (Paradise) indica/sat: strong earthy flavor, pretty harsh smoke (cure well). A unique comforting high.
    - 3 Jacky White (Paradise): grew it but went to hash (seedy). Very tough plant (and very white). sat/indica.
    - 2 Train wreck (GHS): gret it twice. Knock out stone couch but also trippy. I got a hermie once, careful.
    - 3 Juanita Lagrimosa (Reggae seeds)= a high CBD strain I have yet to tst. Sold in Spain only.
    - 5 purple maroc (Female seeds). Biy yield, great taste, smooth smoke (not harsh). The high could be stronger but ok (8/10).
    - 2 Grapefruit (FS): light green, fine structure of buds, awesome fragrance when grinded and smoked.
    - 3 free Kannabia: not tried yet.

    What I will buy:
    - 5 Super Haze (CH9 seeds): this has some Kali Mist in the genetics and is 1/4 the price lol. Fug the price of serious seeds Kali mist! (Kali mistx Jack herrerx haze). A trippy plant. Finish mid Oct
    - 5 Herijuana (CH9 seeds):strong indica (heriXjack herrer). Beg. Oct.
    - 3 Higher (Eva seeds): hazy. (African sat x hazy Skunk). Mid oct.
    - 4 Grapefruit (Female seeds) (sativa, fruity): my ultimate favorite strain so far. Beg Oct
    - 4 Neville's haze (haze) (Female seeds). beg Nov

I won't grow them all but about 15. It's gonna be a tough choice but it'll be basis of Grapefruit, Sensi and Juanita. All in all they are mostly sativas and no early finishers besides the purple maroc (mid Sept). The latest is the Neville's haze (end Oct/beg Nov). Kali mist finished mid end Nov and I don't want to go that far and pay too much money for a weed. It's good to get a balance of finishes. Early ones are Easy sativa (FS)(mid Sept) or California and Quicker by CH9 (end Sept). Also I like by Ch9: Citral Skunk, Jack, Humboldt, Quicker and by Eva: Monster, Africa, Monster, Nexus... All for outdoors. Ok take care WMF!

  5. Hindu kush and afghani #1 from sensi seeds both finish well outdoors. Most of those strains you listed aren't going to finish outside in northern latitudes. If you live in Miami, or further south, give those haze plants a shot. Otherwise, cross those off the outdoor list.

  6. I wanted to grow the sensi star so bad!!! But $20 for one feminized seed?!?! That's fucking outrageous. Thanks for the input though. My afghan kush is an auto so it should finish by middle of the summer. Because I got 26 seeds I obviously aint growing them all, so the Super Lemon Haze and Super Silver Haze will probably be saved for my indoor set up. But that was definitely my one downfall of this year, I didn't haven enough sativas! It was nice having things finish early, but when it came to the smoke. I just wanted something to lift my head sometimes and not bring me down ya no?

How northern? I live in northern California and this year we have had one rain in the past month. So, they should be able to finish but just in case I'll probably take your advice and save these heavy sativas for my indoor set up. Either way I may have to throw one out there since I am feinding some Sativas after this years harvest.

  7. Yeah it's an outrageous price. There's a special deal at Dope seeds where you get 3 femmed Biddy's sister when you buy a serious seeds pack. I think I may buy the Kali Mist after all (6 seeds for 70 pounds! that's even more than the sensi star). I gotta try it and see what the big deal is all about. I'm still pondering on getting the Eva or CH9 seeds which are more reasonably priced. I might just stick to Neville's Haze for a new cheaper purchase as I know Female seeds worked great for me.
The sensi star is worth the money, it is a very resistant plant too. It lacks the crazy intensity of the TW high but it is strong, lasts long and is very enjoyable. I also recommend the Grapefruit by Female seeds. Good price for a tough plant and delicate flowery sativa bud done in beg. Oct. The super silver haze might be too late but the Lemon Haze ought to finish by mid or end Oct so I would grow it .Good luck Washed.

  8. Those are some pretty long flower stains. I had super lemon haze that just finished last week. Wasn't even done just to much frost. Hope u have enough time to finish them or some way to greenhouse them
    Later in the year

  9. That's unfortunate Danko! Must of not had enough nutrients or something. SLH should finish by the end of october, a 12 week flowering for a heavy sativa would make sense. But for it to go until last week. That's an 18 week flower...unheard of. You must live in a different latitude or something brother.

  10. Na man I live in Chico ca all my other shit finished hella long ago. I feed perfect. It those haze plants take hella long. I did them indoor before the summer an they took 15 weeks of flower inside. I was so pissed.

  11. Damn that's garbage! Well haze is definitely something I was lacking this year. So maybe i'll save those girls and grow them indoors while I got my other stuff going outdoors. I'm down in Santa Rosa so it's a bit warmer but we'll see. Thanks for the advice though man, I appreciate it.

  12. It also depends on the phenos as some strains have variation. One sensi pheno waqs done in beg oct, the other end Otober. But yeah those Hazes can take forever. There are some earlier crosses with some Haze in them like Super Haze by CH9 or High Level by Eva seeds or Neville's Haze by Female seeds (all 3 haze types). For a reliable beg Oct sativa , you can't go wrong with Grapefruit by FS.
I'm still debating on wether to get Kali Mist as it is so pricey and finishes mid or end November. Temps are ok but heavy rains in Oct/nov can spell trouble for such a late strain. I've never heard of anyone growing it and test smoking it so I may just take up the challenge for 1 or 2 plants and see: pretty exciting!

    Cheers,

    Corto

  13. Hey guys, thought I'd chime in

    Platinum OG Kush

  14. First outdoor grow so thought I'd do it big..
Live in new England so tried getting some hardy plants
    2012 lineup... (all feminized)
    - Biddy Early
    - purple Maroc
    - easy sativa
    - pineapple chunk
    -big bomb
    - Hollands hope
    - passion #1

Also going to throw some autos in the mix how's it sounds for my area I'm still shopping for seeds hoping for some early finishing sour diesel or something tasty like that, any suggestions on autos or other nice seeds for this area I'm open to ideas...

  15. I've heard great things about Cali connections Tahoe OG.

  16. Lots of European strains ay? I've heard some great things about the purple maroc and pinapple chunk. Be careful on that big bomb, I've heard of it molding outdoors in humid/wet areas.

Would it grow well outside? I swear people mainly grew that indoors.
