im not assuming anything, if ron paul does what he wants to do, then those are naturally the consequences of his policies. many of his supporters believe his message because it is simple and he makes it sound like its true, but many people dont realize that there often is not a simple answer to be found. despite the number of ron paul fans on this site, you will almost never see someone think about the real world consequences of things like abolishing the federal reserve or basing the value of currency on gold. this is because regular people are deceived by this brand of misinformation, and once they are indoctrinated, they blindly defend the message without understanding what it really means. whereas people with actual expertise in economics and finance never agree with ron paul's ideas. don't believe me? ask politic section forumers what their highest education level is or what their field is. i bet the ratio of ron paul supporters to non-supporters strongly correlate with the ratio of college graduates to lower education levels.
