Heads Vs. Mids

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Veggietales, Nov 14, 2011.

  1. I know the difference in smell, potency, and looks.

My question is, what is the difference in how they are grown.

Are mids just normal potent plant that is grown without much care to it which results in a low potency?

My friend is telling me that it is the bottom buds of a plant. For example, he claims that the top buds are heads, and the ones towards the bottom are mids. Personally, that sounds like a load of bullshit.

+rep to the person who gives a good valid answer

  2. Any plant that produces low quality pot is mids. Theres nothing wrong with the genetics it's the grower

  5. That's what I figured

  6. There's no bad plants just bad growers

  7. dude, thats so funny, i had a friend who told me that too. except he said it was the individual colas, like the top part would be dank as fuck and the middle not so good. it is a load of bs though.

the genetics of the plant are a big part, e.g. the strain. but also how its grown... how much light, etc. also whether male plants are allowed to fertilize the female. the female grows buds, and if males are allowed to fertilize her she will waste her energy putting nasty seeds in the buds (which is why low quality bud often has seeds).
