Hi everyone! I'm new to this and have so many questions. However, the most important question I have is this one right here:

If a female marijuana plant has been pollinated and you clone that female, will the clones produce seeds also?

Who ever can answer this question I praise you and thank you in advance.

good question.

it all depends,

1. if you pull a clone off a flowering mother that had that particular bud site pollinated then cloned then yes there is a small chance that it could have undeveloped seeds that if the clone stayed in flowering would develop. (pretty much cloning a small underdeveloped bud site that was pollinated)

but

2. if you take a mother that has been pollinated, harvested then cloned most likely the new growth during veg would develop new bud sites in flowering stage that will not be pollinated.

there is a "could happen" chance with the first option but it would be pretty slim. to produce a seed both hairs (stigma) on a single calyx have to be pollinated, that single pollination can not pollinate other calyx. If you grow out the clone and keep it away from males it should not produce seeds.

Thanks a lot Mixted!
My first priority right now is just to get a female. As soon as I know that one of my plants are female, I intend on cloning it and paying more attention to the clones then i will the mother. I do not intend to just forget about the mother, however, I have a better grow box for the clones themselves than I do for the original plants.

Each seed pod needs it's own pollen grain. A clone that is cut from a pollinated plant will either finish and die if kept under 12/12, or will revert to veg if put under a different lighting schedule. Whatever underdeveloped seeds are present will be lost, and the clone will grow normally. It will not remain pollinated.
