This is my 3rd grow and attempting to get this "Perpetual" thing going. The other 2 are down below.
I'm a CA Legal Patient growing for 2 other patients in the household.
Each grow i've learned a ton of new things and it's starting to show!

I'm on week 4 of flowering and will post up pics later.

    (2) 3x3 Tents

    Flowering Tent:
    (2) 240 Watt Blackstar LEDs
    (1) 180 Watt Prosource LED
    (6) 42 Watt Soft White CFLs
    (1) 6 in circulation fan
    (1) 170 cfm exhaust fan w/ (old...3rd grow) carbon filter

    (2) White Widow
    (2) Chem Dog
    (2) Fire OG
    (1) Platinum
    (1) Blackberry

    Baby Maker Tent:
    (2) 90 Watt LEDs
    (1) 6 in circulation fan
    (1) Aerocloner (9 spots)

I'm thinking i'll probably build another CFL lamp for my 2nd tent.

    Soil:
    FFOF w/30% Perlite added.
Inch of Perlite on the Bottom & Top of my 4 gal square pots.

Advanced Nutrients + some extra junk food!

Yes, I know LEDs can't put out as much as a HPS but the tents are in the room that I sleep in, so I didn't want to be battling heat! I'll make the jump when i can have a separate room. I'm not sure about how the power bill has been affected but nothing a Jar of goodness can't fix, right dad? LOL.

  3. Nice looking setup mate.

I am interested to see how you put together your 5gal aerocloner? got any links or pics of the inside available?

Also I notice you are using a 90w flower model for the veg, any reason you didnt go a veg/clone model? I just ordered 2 90W veg myself which should be here 2mrw.

I used the replacement sprayers from the EZColner.EZCloner Replacement nozzles.

I'm impressed that you noticed they're the flower model. I don't know if you remember my first Armoir/Grow Box that I grew the Herojuana in but I had the 180w in there and added those (2) 90w on each side of it when i was in the middle of that grow. Since then, i've bought the (2) 240w lights for the flower tent so the 90's got pushed to the Veg tent. I'll probably end up moving the lights around a bit depending on how this perpetual thing works out for me. I have about 2-3 weeks left in my flower tent and my babies won't be ready to flower by then.

  5. I made a few adjustments to my setup. I bought a 3x3 botanicare tray to go into my 3x3 tent. Funny thing is, the inside of the tray is 3x3 plus you have a half inch lip all the way around. Yeah, what a disappointment! Nothing a table saw and power sander cant fix! I cut the lip off and sanded the edges down. You seriously cant even tell that I did anything to it! It didn't fit inside my flower tent. Some reason my veg tent was a slightly bigger 3x3 and it fits perfect! Super big pain in the ass to swap all the plants, lights, and fans over. Moving those plants around made me realize how some of the nugs are having a hard time staying up because they're getting fat! I bought some bamboo support sticks that will go in as soon as my lights turn back on. The front is an inch lower than the back so that the water flows to the drain holes.

  6. So I'm on week 8 and have been flushing. The pistils all looked cloudy. I'm going to keep an eye on them and chop when they're mostly amber. The Platinum is doing amazing, which is why 9 of the spots now have new platinum clippings in. :hello:

    Here's some pics i snapped.

So I haven't updated for a while due to a flood in my house....bad toilet upstairs. So for the past 4 months, I've been living out of a hotel and rental house. Nightmare!
Now that I'm back home, I started upgrading a bit. In the next few months I'm hoping to get an 8x8 shed going. I made a pvc stand for the tray as well as making a recirculating drip feed system.

It's set to feed 15 mins once a day which I feel is probably going to change.
I have (2) 210 gph water pumps and (1) 7.8 L /min air pump. 1 water pump feeds while the other continually circulates the water around. The plants are hooked up to 1 gph drip compensators.

I'm new to this recirculating drip feed thing but was told I should get a ppm meter. Any more advice would be awesome!

  9. Welcome back, was wondering what the hell happened to ya!

That sucks about the flooding! I hope it was covered by insurance, I am assuming you own the apartment you where/are in now.

Cant wait to see this "shed" you have planned! Wish I had space to do more, but then again as a family member told me last night, its probably a good thing that I dont :D

Check out my current grow, a few pages back I got to test a HydroGrow 126X Pro till one of the power supplies blew. Looked like it had the goods as well!

Looking forward to see some lovely girls come out of here!

And as far as meters go, YES! A Ph and EC/PPM meter is a MUST! You want healthy girls, you need to know what you are feeding them! Bluelab truncheons last a lifetime as far as EC meters go.

  10. Hey good to see you! The flooding was pretty bad. Insurance covered the reflooring upstairs but we threw down extra to get the downstairs re-tiled to match. Yeah, we own the house. I wish I had more space too! Lol.

Yeah I've been PH testing from the beginnning but I was told that it's not really necessary to test PPM in soil. Now that I'm recirculating the water a little bit, I think it would be a smart idea to start.
I figure it's probably pretty easy to read a meter. I just don't know the standard numbers. A friend of mine casually said he feeds at 1400 the week before he flushes.

What should the numbers be to build up to that including Veg time? Not looking for exact, just something I can ballpark. I was guessing something like this.

    PPM
    Veg
Week 1 - Probably just water
    2 - "
    3 - 800
    4 - 900

    Flower
    1 - 1000
    2 - 1000
    3 - 1100
    4 - 1200
    5 - 1300
    6 - 1400
    7 - 1400
    8 - Flush

  11. Depends where u live as to what meter measures by, in aus it is EC, elec conductivity, us it is ppm. The nutes u use should have a grow guide on website or back of bottle as to how strong u make it.

  12. I'm using AN. They have a calculater on the website that I used but ended up giving it half dose. It however does not list PPM readings.

Curious as to what others are doing ppm wise.

  13. No problem man

  14. So I was told to go off the EC rather than PPM b/c different ones measure differently. I just got a bluelab truncheon meter which reads both PPMs as well as the EC. The thing is WAY bigger than I expected.

I took a reading from my reservoir and I got a 1.6 EC.

  15. Down the track also think about investing in a Bluelab Guardian Monitor, if you are going to be growing for a while, they are a great investment, not cheap though. Saves me about 5-10min each day, instead of having to take top of res, use 2 different meters and adjust accordingly, I just open wardrobe door and it tells me everything without even having to open tent up. Can adjust what reading you want it to give you on EC or PPM, Ph and Water Temp. Only needs calibrating on Ph every 30 days.

So Friday night, I just finished a fat bubble hash bowl and opened my tent to check on the ladies. Boom! The tent collapsed and all 3 LEDs landed on them. Had to do pull them all out, bandage them, and plan for what was next.

I've spent all day Saturday and about 4 hours today(Sunday) and this is where I am at.

  17. Since it's no longer in my bedroom, and it's basically a new setup, I'll be updating in a new Journal that will be linked in my signature.
