So I just had an idea, buy these empty gelatin capsules and put weed in it to get high. I don't think it would work because dont you need heat and something to extract the thc. So is there any way to make this work like putting something else with the weed

No it wouldn't work if you just stuff weed in them. But look at the sticky called badkat's cannapharm in the edibles section.

Taking dry weed and putting it in gel caps works like a charm. I did it yesterday afternoon and it worked great. There's no need to cook it in oil beforehand.
