Sup City,

So I'm looking for some tight , deep hip-hop that is more thought-provoking, introspective and reflective. The thing I love about hip-hop (like most music genres I guess) is how there are many different styles for every type of feeling. Some types you get hype flows, sometimes some dope aggressive battle shit. Some times some goofy silly Pharcyde shit. Everything, gotta love the variety.

But probably my favorite hip-hop is the more reflective lyrics spit with a dope flow over some deep beats. Where the artist is just honestly expressing himself about the trials and lessons of real life - shit that I can relate to on a personal level. I get into that stuff the most.

I'm always looking for good new music, so if you know some great reflective hip-hop post it-up! I'll throw some of my favorites below. Peace :smoke:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmCgSUUiBpg]Pep Love- New Religion - YouTube[/ame]
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELrP2_IV568]Wax - Limousine - YouTube[/ame]
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enQsdbcMOiQ]Mr Lif - Because They Made It That Way - YouTube[/ame]

These really epitomize what I'm looking for. Personal/deep subject matter, chill thought provoking beats. Love it

It may sound funny but Lil B has some pretty reflective shit out. Just check out the whole "I'm Gay" album. Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Common all relate to the guys you've posted here. Don't shy away from turning on pandora to get a better idea of artists though. Don't forget that pandora sorts music by SOUND and CONCEPT and not things like ARTIST and GENRE. Happy listening!

Is this a joke? lol

If you want some deep ass lyrics, check out atmosphere. Undoubtedly one of the most skilled lyricists out there, and way underrated in my opinion.

Pretty sure these videos are sped up, which is annoying, but they're still cool.
