outdoor growup questions

Hey guys it'll be my first time growing next year and I just want to be prepared. Here are some of the questions I have:


1. I want to grow outdoors but I could manage to grow them inside a small greenhouse (which is 4 feet long, 3 feet high, and 3 feet wide for about 3 weeks or until they start to look like weed plants. Would this benefit them in anyway instead of growing directly in the ground? If it won't help much I won't be doing it, but if it'll be helpful I could give them 3 weeks from the day of germinating for them to get a healthy headstart.

2. Do I need to grow the plants in pots or should I directly plant them into the ground? If I plant them into the ground I will be digging 2 feet deep, in a 3 foot radius and removing previous soil and adding new and better enhanced soil. I would however like to plant them in the ground in the same pots that I would use in the 3 week period in the greenhouse. So this way I can just slowly pick up the pots from inside the mini greenhouse and just place them in a hole in the ground in my outdoor location.

3. How many times a week would I need to water the plants once they are in their permanent outdoor location?

4. Do I just let nature do its thing and the plants will flower/produce weed by themselves or is their something special you have to do to them in the outdoors which will cause them to stop growing and start producing bud? (Like the lighting is changed to 12 on 12 off if grown indoors). Do I need to do anything else or is it basically just water them a few times a week and general care for the plants?


Also keep in mind this is for personal use only and I probably won't grow more than 8-10 plants.

Key question: Is the mini-greenhouse needed for sure or would it just be helpful.
