Hey all !
Im new to your forum but have used some of the other ones over the last few years but had to come say hi after I found some of ReggieG's Aussie grows :)
After looking around at the rest of the Aussie and non Aussie grows i realised this is the place to be :)
Hope you enjoy, judging by last years grow i expect this one to turn out pretty well !!

Been growing for around 6 years successfully but everything i have learnt is going into this years grow, its gonna be a good one so stick around especially any other fellow southern hemisphere growers :)
Im trying a few strains given to me by people this year, and plan on making some new crosses to keep the genetics going.
So a few weeks in ill start with some pics .
Good to be here!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Holes were dug a few months prior to planting, filled with high grade soils, mosses, manures, worm castings and other good stuff then some had various mulches added.
Seeds were germinated and grown for at least 2 weeks indoors and planted out around the beggining of spring here.
Usually i would have waited a few weeks longer but weather this year seemed to be okay and the strains are all fairly tough :)

As you can see, i used bottles as greenhouses for a while then when they outgrew the greenhouses i chopped off the top and left the bottle there for extra resistance against animals and pests :)
May need to remove bottles towards harvest to avoid mold or stem rot, and the fences around the plants are around 50cm high (with larger fences not in pic - Rabbits are feral round here)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

First up - my mutant strain KALASHNIKOVA
I think its a fairly new/unstable strain as most of my seedlings grew leaves in sets of 3 instead of twos... but going alright so far :)
PHOTO 1 - 10 days
PHOTO 2 - Week 6 - the mutant got mauled by rabbits, he was 50cm but this is his sister (about 40cm)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next up is my EARLY SKUNK'S . Have grown these guys before they are big, tough plants and usually yeild some pretty good, nice to smoke buds :)
PHOTO 3 - Week 5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Random Sativa - Bred by a mate but i love my sativas, hope they finish before the rains come.
PHOTO 4 - Top - Week 5
PHOTO 5 - Side

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one is possibly my favourite grower so far is my MOBY DICK!
Looking forward to seeing how these guys go
PHOTO 6 - MD leaf
PHOTO 7 - MD - Week 6

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second last is BLUE CHEESE which i have heard good things about from the guy who gave it to me. Bit stretchy so far and a few bugs had a munch when he was young but i think shes on the right track now :)
PHOTO 8 - BC - Week 6

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lastly in this photo gets special treatment in her own bucket with some weird crap in the soil. its a Nothern Lights/ Big bud
PHOTO 9 - My Baby - Week 5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry for all the pics at once guys but from now on i can add photos weekly and you can see how they are going :)
Last week they were fed with a good mixture of compost juice/ worm piss, and gogo juice and had a few sunny days so cant wait to go visit this week !

Hope you enjoy the pics, and looking forward to talking to you guys

Does anyone know what the problems are with her new leaves?
Im going to test the PH again next time i go, but apart from that im not sure

PHOTO 4 - KALASHNIKOVA, had a fair few bug problems with these guys, a bit behind the rest

PHOTO 5 - MOBY DICK, best growers so far and have huge leaves... very impressed ! this photo shows one that had a branch fall on the main stem but its come back like a weed :)
PHOTO 6 - MOBY DICK, about 75cm , doing well

Hey man, thought I'd check out your grow. You're girls are way ahead of mine and look nice and lush. The cages you're using are the same sort of thing I've got made up and will take with me next week. Must be pretty hard guerilla growing in Oz water wise, aren't you guys always having droughts and shit? Then massive floods? We usually get rain once a week over here unless it's a really dry summer, the worst thing in NZ is all the dirty possums you guys infected us with...

The girls are goin okay so far , and the cages you see are actually gonna be upgraded next week to bigger ones but are definantly a good start !

Nah Australia's pretty perfect all over , depends where u are though I'm right down south, been getting rain every few days so far ..
You up top of Nz ? Best Place in te world ey !
Haha possums shouldn't be too bad , have we given u rabbits too haha ?

Wait till u get some snakes over there it's perfect for them ;)
Thanks for posting man , looking forward to seeing how yours turn out too !!
One of us will rep it no doubt

Na I'm in the Waikato, nothing but dairy farms. Climates still pretty good for weed but we get frosts/fog/wet as hell in autumn and winter which you don't get up North which might force an early harvest. Surprised you get so much rain, how far south are you... I've heard some dodgey things about Tasmanians...

Keep posting pics and I'll keep mine updated, might spark up a little ANZAC competition for biggest yield on a single plant maybe???

Wish I was further north but u should see the plants they get in Queensland !!
I'm so down for the comp !!! I've had some animal problems but think I've sorted it now so should be good :)

Fair effort, You have no pictures up though ?
im in southern hemisphere, hence why the plants are still miniature ,
but from my past experience it should turn big by the end :)
I read a bit of your stuff, did you dry outdoors? how did u go with that

Haha yeah sweet man , in my opinion there's nothing better than smoking your own grown weed ... Except smoking your own outdoor weed !!
It's hard work getting it right outdoors though unless you can grow in your garden , where would u grow :)? Guerilla or at your new place :)?

And SGT what's Obama Doin in Cali ?
