Beginning my first grow inside, in a stealth dresser in my room. Hopefully my father won't notice :D

Using CFL's for lighting, total of:
4x 26w bulbs = 104 watts of cool white CFLs for VEGATATIVE stage
4x 26w bulbs + 42w bulb = 146 watts of warm white CFLs for FLOWERING stage

Total of: 250 watts if used all together.

Pic of lights: (Disregaurd the one at the bottom)

Question is: Do i use them together or seperate them according to stage?

Using the following fertilizer/nute mix

For soil: Happy frog/Perlite/Ocean forest in a 1-1-1 mix.

FF trio being used in flowering, 1/4 recommended dose

12.2" pot, Should be 3-3.5 gallons

Bought a cheap carbon scrubber:
[See attachment]

Two weeks until i recieve my cabinet, posting pics when i pick it up.

Can anyone give me a questimation of how many fans i need to use? I know cabinet size is a leading factor, but if i used half/half or used all of the lights, how many would i need?

TL : DR =

How many fans for 9 lights?
Do i use all cool for vega and all warm for flowering?
Or both thru the whole grow?

Anyone with opinions on my grow? should i order more seeds? Plan on autoflowering one plant, if i can fit two i'll order more seeds and adjust wattage accordingly

Anyhow, I noticed you carbon scrubber. Looks pretty big for a stealth dresser grow. I have one a little bigger than yours in a 4'x4'x78" tent from growmedics (got on ebay). I run it with a 6" Vortex fan using Cool Tubes x 2 x400w MH. You can make a smaller scrubber with activated charcoal (from Pets Mart). Look up DIY carbon filter. So are you planning to use computer fans cause that filter needs a fan like a can fan or vortex.

Also, if you live with your parents (really should have left that out 'cause I know your 18 right?) a stealth grow will still be difficult to conceal.

Deffinately 18:smoke: i realize its hard to contain, my dad is home for 3 hours then falls asleep to leave earlier then me. He does not open my door for any reason, is afraid of me and my room. My door is always locked and he does not question it at all. i smoke in my room and he doesn't question the smell, or knows what it is. Occasionally he asks what smells like burning plastic..

Thank you for the reply!

I just ordered one, had a gift card, thought oh hell might as well use it. I'm planning on picking up an inline fan the right size from home depot.

Lotta questions

If you answer them all it would be rewarded with rep and love

I have about 9 CFLs in total, should i seperate them according to stage, or use them all at once? I can purchase more of each kind if necessary, Have access to unlimited lights

Just wondering:

Cannot afford it now, but during flowering i was thinking over purchasing a HPS Light. Just a small, 100 or 150 watt. Would this be worth it? Do i continue to use CFLs as well?

Also:
How many fans for 9 lights?

I found a calculation to use for this, still some opinions would help confirm this.

And lastly:
Is there too many lights for a plant? With CFLs alone is there a number wattage i should not pass? Taking into account i can deal with heat/energy needs easily.

You could get an HPS but you may also use CFL's for flowering. 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering. More light is good-so use as many CFL's as you want. I have no experience with autoflowering strains. I am referring to photoperiod strains. I would guess that with autoflowering you could use both kelvin temps but I'm not certain. I would google the strain and see if there is any specific growing tips to be had.

It's not about how many fans-you want to achieve temperatures around 74-82. So you can add or remove fans as the temperature dictates.

Also, an inexpensive intro into MH/HPS lighting is purchasing a multitap high bay light from craigslist. You may need to rewire to 120v-very easy to do. Here's a link to explain

Very Interesting! However, Very large ballast on top may not work for my use! Will take a look for smaller ones

Have you considered LED's?

If you check out my herojuana grow in my signature, it might give you some ideas for your stealth grow.

The inline fan is pretty much the only thing that gives it away. They make fan speed controllers that might help with that.
